Payton's POV

"Here we are. A double cheeseburger for you," the waiter said winking at Ethan before monotonously saying "and a BLT for you." With that, she placed the steaming burger in front of me. I gave her a half hearted smile before digging in.

"Thank you." Ethan said to her. With that she finally left. Ethan took a bite of his burger, holding his gaze on mine.

"Stop that. I don't like it when you stare at me like that." I complained, wiping the corners of my mouth and covering my face.

"I can't help but stare. You're dangerously beautiful. It's kind of intoxicating." Ethan smiled, reaching his hand over the table to remove my hand from my face. He then shifted his plate to my side of the table before getting up and sitting next to me.

"If I sit next to you, I won't be as inclined to look at you. But I'll still try to." Ethan offered smirking down at me.

We were sitting with our bodies touching all the way up the sides.

"You are doing it again aren't you?" I asked, not even having to see him. He gave a low chuckle, confirming what I already knew.

His arm went up and around me, his hand falling dangerously low down my back. Despite my insides swelling, I leaned into him resulting in a smile from him.

As we kept eating, Ethan's hand drew small circles on my low back. After a while, I got comfortable and rested my head against the his chest. Ethan responded with pulling me closer to him.

After a while, we were finished eating, so I decided to make small talk. After all it has been 7 years.

"So. What has been your favorite part about being back in the states?" I asked, moving towards the end of the booth, leaning on the wall and stretching my legs over Ethan's lap.

"Looks like you're warming up to me sweet pea." Ethan cooed, beginning to rub my legs. I laughed lightly, nodding in agreement.

"Well I think my favorite thing is reuniting with old friends, and making up for 7 years." Ethan started before playfully scratching his head. "Seeing you was an add on." He finished, now drawing random shapes on my leg.

"Hmm." I bit on another fry before bringing it to his face, offering it to his lips. He smirked, and took the rest of the fry into his mouth, sucking on my finger. I blushed a deep red, not realizing what he was doing until it was too late.

"Seductive are we?" I asked him, a smirk on my lips. With a smile tugging on his lips, Ethan brought the hand that was in his mouth to his chest. His heart beat is so steady and strong. There's no way I can keep a steady heartbeat around him.

This motion caused me to lean forward, my face mere inches from his. He slowly tugged me, bringing my face closer to his.

Not today.

I pulled back, smiling knowing I was teasing him. There was a low growl in the bottom of his throat.

"So it's like that now?" He said, his ego deflated a little. I nuzzled his cheek. That'll leave him with something to look forward to.

"Let's get outta here." Ethan said with a sigh. He probably realized he wasn't getting a kiss from me today. He stood up out of the booth and extended his hand out to me. With a little laugh, I put my smaller one into his bigger one.

When we were outside, Ethan walked me to my car. When we were in front of my car, I unlocked the car and turned to him.

"Thank you for taking me out on this...."

"...date?" Ethan said finishing my sentence. Much to my surprise, I lifted my arms up and around his neck, pulling me towards him. I could tell he wasn't expecting that, but he quickly squeezed me to him.

"Good night love. Drive safe. I'll text you tomorrow." Ethan said into my neck. Before pulling  back, he placed a light kiss behind my ear.

"You too Ethan. Goodnight." I gave a small wave before getting into my car. Ethan waved back and made his way to his car.

What am I going to do with myself if I can't control myself while around him? I leaned against the wheel, closing my eyes.
