Payton's POV
I shot up, waking up from my bad dream. My hands were moist. I was breathing very hard, and it didn't help that it was pitch black.
"Are you okay?" I heard a soft voice say. I whimpered a little before answering.
"I...think so. I just had a bad dream." Ethan sat up from the floor, and rubbed my legs through the covers.
"Will it help if I lay with you?" He asked, hesitantly. I really need that right now. I don't think I would be able to sleep without it.
"Please."
Ethan slid into the bed next to me. His arm went on my back, pulling me close to him. We were on our sides, facing each other. I placed my hand on his chest as he wrapped his arm around my waist protectively.
"Better babe?" He whispered. I didn't even get to answer, because sleep took over.

Ethan's POV
It sounds weird, but watching Payton sleep gave me a sense of self peace. Hearing her steady breathing and seeing her mouth slightly opened made me feel happy. I should go brush my teeth and make breakfast for us. I thought. Slowly, careful not to disturb my sleeping angel, I got out of bed. Instantly Payton moved into the warm spot were my body just was. I smiled at her, pulling the covers higher on her body.
Once I was done, I padded downstairs to start breakfast. Crepes sound good to make on a Saturday morning. So I got to work.
As I was pouring the last drips of the crepe mix into the pan, Payton padded into the kitchen.
"Good morning love." Payton greeted. She came to my side and stood on her tip toes, pulling my face to her. She kissed my cheek, dangerously close to the corner of my mouth. She got off her toes, and stared up at me.
"Whatcha making?" She asked sweetly, motioning to the pan. I rolled the mix around in the pan so that the crepe would come out as thin as possible.
"Crepes." I said simply. "Something else I learned in Barbados." I added with a wink. Payton let out a giggle as she went to sit on the island chairs.
"Those are pretty short shorts." I commented, pointing to her shorts with my spatula. They were velvet lined with white material. Sexy as hell.
"Are you complaining?" she challenged in a sexy voice. Hell no I ain't. The last crepe was finally done and I put it in the oven to keep warm with the rest of them.
"Not at all."
She let out a soft laugh, and got up, making her way towards me. I leaned up against the counter. Payton encircled her hands around my torso, her head on my chest. I was quite taken aback. She's being so open and affectionate. I wrapped one arm around her neck and the other around her waist. I heard a small chuckle leave her mouth.
