TRAPPED - Hamilstory

Chapter 3

(By the way, for Lafayette's French I'm using google translate. So if it is not actually the right meaning, I'm sorry)

Lafayette's POV

All of our friends got together because Alex had a good idea to try and find him. A, how you say, foolish idea but whatever.

I have been very very sad ever since John has been missing. I think he ran away from his dad because his dad has been abusing him. John didn't tell me this, I figured it out myself. I have been trying to help him...but whenever I confront him about his bruises he gets very insecure.

I have not told anyone else about John's father because I would not know where to begin. I would probably cry and I never want to cry in front of my friends. But when I found out John was gone, I couldn't help but cry with Alex.

"Qu'allons nous faire?" (What are we going to do?) I asked concerned. When I get worried I can't help but speak french. It's a good thing Alex is fluent in French too. "All we can do is look and hope to God that we find him."

I looked over at Hercules who had bags under his eyes. He obviously hasn't slept at all. We're all a mess right now. But who can blame us. We have no idea on what to do!

Eliza made a checklist on places we should look for him, Angelica was going to make sure we all stayed safe, and Peggy stayed home since Angelica didn't want her littlest sister going out in the woods with them. Poor Peggy, she's always left out.

Hercules's POV

I wasn't in the mood to go searching for him. It's not like we were ever going to find him! He ran away for a reason: to not be found.

"Okay first, we check his house. I know, I know you guys are probably thinking 'But Eliza! John's dad is too strict!' Well he is not home today :) mhm I do my research." 

We went on our way to his house. I was way behind though. Everyone would tell me to hurry up but I can't seem to. 

When we made it to John's house we knocked on the door to see if anyone was actually there. After a few minutes we just went in. The door was surprisingly open. We looked around and their place was a mess. I guess his dad must have been tearing the place down looking for him. But I wouldn't know since I have never been over his house. I don't think anyone here has. "Wow...Hey let's go check his room." I said. 

We made our way upstairs and into his room. His clothes were everywhere and- wait...is that an One Direction t-shirt? I could almost laugh but then I remembered that he is still missing. "Isn't this breaking in and entering?" Angelica said. 

"Mon amie, the door was open so we didn't really break in." Lafayette

We looked around for a little while when I noticed something on the floor. It was a note. I guess his dad didn't see it because it was still taped shut. "Hey! Look what I found. " The note was strictly for "Anyone of my friends". 

I opened it and read aloud:

"Dear anyone who's reading,

           If you are Alex, Hercules, Lafayette, Angelica, Peggy, Theodosia, or anyone, I am guessing you have found out the news that I have ran away. Please don't worry about me. I will be okay. I hope that you understand that I have run away for a good reason. All I ask of you is to not look any further. I am okay and-"

I stopped reading. I saw that he crossed something out and I did my best to read it.

"I am ... going to stay... in the woods?" I looked up at them with a shocked expression. "That's our clue! He is going to be in the woods!"
