**Jenna's POV**
New years was a few days ago, and Ryan's birthday is in a few days as well.
"What are you getting Ryan for his birthday" Zoey asked
"I got him this amp for his guitar he's been eyeing" I told her
"Its hard to top your Christmas gift to him, huh?"
I bought Ryan a brand new truck for Christmas "yeah, an amp is a little cheaper than a truck though" I told her
"Soo, I hate to bug you about this but are y'all trying for a baby?" Zoey asked
"Um, we uh," I looked down at the laundry I was folding "Ryan's leaving for tour soon so," I just looked away and wiped the tear that fell from my eye
"Jenna, what's going on?" Zoey asked
"Ryan and I have been trying but we haven't had any luck, and it's really hard on us"
"Oh, Jenna I'm so sorry" she a hugging me
"Dont tell anyone. We dont want to explain this to people" I told her
"I won't. Do you need anything?"
"No, we just need some time" I told her
"So, how do you feel about Ryan leaving?"
"I'm ok. I'm just gonna miss him" I told her
"Me too"
Before I could reply I heard the front door open
"Jenna, can you come down here for a second?" I heard Ryan call.
Zoey and I went downstairs
"What's up husband"
"I got you a little something" he replied
He handed me a basket with a blanket in it. I moved the blanket and saw a tiny teacup Yorkie puppy with a pink bow in her hair
I picked her up and held her in my arms "is she mine?" I asked Ryan
"Yeah, she's ours, but she needs a name"
"Carter" I told him
"Welcome to the family Carter Sitkowski" Zoey said
"She's so tiny! What if we lose her??" I asked Ryan
"We won't lose her I promise"
"Sooo, do you wanna help me make dinner?" I asked Zoey and Ryan
They both looked at each other, both of them wanting to run away, but eventually they agree.
"I don't know what to make. What do you want for dinner Ry?"
"How about that steak we bought yesterday" he said
"Are you gonna make them?" I asked him
"Sure, I'll do the meat" he said
"I'll do the potatos" I said
"And I'll go play with the dogs" Zoey said inching out of the kitchen
"Really?" I asked
"Fine. I'll help you Jenna" she said getting stuff out for salad
It was nice the 3 of us making dinner and enjoying each others company. It's hard to believe that in 2 weeks Ryan will be gone on tour and it'll just be Zoey, A.J., Carter and I. We sure are gonna miss him.
