Later, I’m sitting on the couch with a ketchup, lazily thinking up new puns. I've been really serious lately, and that's bad.

“S-sans? Sans? P-please, don't hurt me… S-SANS!”

I'm off the couch in a flash, lifting the roof. Her covers are on the floor, she's curled in a ball, and she's trembling, making pitiful mewling noises.

“Hope?”

She screams hoarsely, and I scoop her up, cradling her to my chest. I instinctively put a barrier around her soul, and she quiets slightly, still shaking… Walking back to the couch, I keep maintaining the barrier and take a sip of ketchup, slowly falling asleep.

When Papyrus gets home, he finds Hope and I asleep AGAIN on the couch. Sighing, he covers me with a blanket and turns the light off.
