The Final Chaos Emerald!

Another day, another day at school, another day full of intense work. You sat in class, listening at the history teacher talking about the events that happened in the US during WWII. It was really boring and you were craving for adventure. All you wanted to do was to leave the class and practice your shooting skills with your father like you did back in (country name). But ever since he got that mission in Russia, he hadn't come back which worried your family very much. He called you here and there but it's been a few months since his last call. You could only pray for him to come back safe and sound. You looked outside the window to look at the sky, and right there you saw the X-Tornado. You smiled at the sigh of the plane but then frowned upon the realization that they were looking for the last Chaos Emerald. You felt your heart sink in the bottom of your chest. 

'They're... Going home...?' You asked yourself before looking back at the paper with blank eyes, like all life had disappeared.

Your friend Catherin next to you noticed and poked your shoulder with her pencil. You look at her who had a concerned expression on her face.

"Are you okayY/N? You look dead." She asked you in a whispering tone.

"I'm fine. Just tired..." You lied and she obviously didn't believe you.

"Yeah no you're not fine. You, Sakura-chan and I will have a talk after class." She told you with a stern look. You sighed and nodded knowing that you had lost the fight.

As promised, after class you three had a talk and you told them how you felt about Sonic and his friends leaving. The hugged you tightly like the amazing people they were. They comforted you with the situation and gave a few advices. Of course, they told you that you should confess your feelings to him before it was too late. 

"Maybe... I just don't know.... He'll be weirded out!" You told them. "I-I don't want to ruin our friendship."

"He's going away anyway, Y/N. You won't be seeing him for who knows how long so-" Sakura started before Cat elbowed her to make her stop talking.

"What she MEANS is that it would be better for him to know before he leaves, he's a great guy-err-hedgehog so he deserves to know, don'cha think?" She said, putting a hand on your shoulder. You frowned.

"I guess he DOES deserve to know..." 

"Who deserves to know, Y/N-chan?" A voice asked from behind which startled you. You turn around to see Sora towering over you.

"Gah! You scared the life out of me Sora!" You said. 

"My bad~ So who were you talking about just now?" He asked you again.

"Oh. We were just talking about uh that m-my mother deserves... to know that uuuhh I had a relatively bad grade in mmmmaths...!" You made up.

"Really? I'm sure it wasn't so bad~" He said, getting closer to you. Catherine and Sakura looked at him suspiciously. He sent them a glare that showed an incredible amount of bloodlust. They squeaked and backed away a bit. "You tried your best, Y/N-chan." He continued, placing a hand on your head.

"I-I guess..." You blushed.

"SORA-KUUUUUUN~~~!" A girly and rather bitchy voice called out from the end of the hall. You heard loud footsteps heading towards you. You looked behind to see the one and only Akira. She ran and hugged his arm. "Sora-kun, darling~ Let's eat lunch together, okay?"

"No." He denied her.

"What?"

"I said no."

"W-Why...?" She pretended to sound hurt.
