My dad opened the door. The front door of our new home. It isn't what I expected it to be. I expected something modern and clean, but this house is old and dusty. I followed my parents into the house and my elder brother, Harry is right behind me. When we got in I saw a large chandelier hanging from the ceiling from the first room we came in to. I saw some crystals scattered on the floor but some were still stuck to the chandelier. This house might be very old. Maybe people in the 18th centuries made this house.

"Is anyone hungry ?" Mom asked. "Yeah, I'm very hungry." Harry replied. "Well then, we should have dinner right away." Dad said. So we all walked to the dining room. Along the way I saw paintings of people. They looked like they lived here a long time ago. They looked like a wealthy family. The girls wore big and beautiful dresses, and the boys wore expensive looking suits. "What a unique hallway, right kids ?" Asked dad. Harry replied with a fake smile, "Yeah, this is amazing." We kept walking. "Welcome to the dining room!" Dad said. "I know it's still very dusty, but we can make this work." He continued. I could see the look on Harry's face that he isn't happy about this move.

Back in Oregon, Harry was one of the popular kids in school. He joined the basketball team, he had lots of friends, and he was also one of the smartest kids in school. But I'm different. I didn't have many friends, actually people avoided me because they thought that I'm weird. Maybe it's because of how I look or maybe it's the way I talk or the way I walk. I don't really know. That's why I love to read. Every book I read always make me feel like I'm a character in that book. I never told my parents or my brother about this. Even though, I still choose to stay in Oregon than starting everything all over again and being avoided all over again.

"Dinners ready!" Mom said. We all sat on the dining chairs and started to eat our dinner. "Mom, dad, do we really have to move ?" Harry asked. "Look, kids, we know that this move is going to be hard for you but I've got a better job here. So please, give it a chance." Dad replied. Harry is unhappy about this but he tried to do what dad told us to do. "Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that there's a library in this house. The property agent told me about the library, but now I forget where it is." Dad said.

We finished our dinner. Mom and dad needed to fix some holes in the roof. They told me and Harry to explore this house. "C'mon we haven't seen our rooms yet." Harry said. Then we went to the second floor and find our rooms. Harry told me that he wanted the room with the biggest window. I'm okay with that

"You know what, I really don't feel like traveling around this house. You can go on without me, Selena." Harry said. So I did, I traveled by myself. First I looked at my room on the right on Harry's room. It's not bad, but not my favourite either. Oh well, now all i need to do is take my things out of the car and tidy my room. I went dowstairs and I walked towards the car, I think I'm going the right way. I walked, but then I stopped. I found this picture of a girl that looks really pretty. She had curly long brown hair, big blue eyes, wore a beautiful dress. Oh I wish I could look as pretty as she was, I'm sure noboby would avoid me.

I decided to keep walking, but then I realized I took a wrong turn. I found a door covered in spider webs and dust. A very old looking door. I could find my way back to my room, but I didn't. I held the doorknob. And then I turned it slowly.
