DARKNESS, that's all I could see when I opened the door. "What is this place ?" I opened the door wider. I tried to find the light switch, and I was lucky enough to find it in the dark. I turned it on. The lights weren't bright enough to see the whole room clearly, but it was bright enough to see all these gigantic bookshelves filled with books on every wall of the whole room. "Is this the library that dad was talking about?"

I started to look around. I walked towards the center of the library and then I bumped into something. I tried to identify this object. "Is this a table ?" I held something that caught my attention. But I accidentally dropped it. This thing glowed. I didn't know what it was but it's glowing bright light pointed to my right. I walked towards it. I saw a mirror, an old mirror.

I kept on walking closer, and I saw myself, with short straight black hair, circular glasses, blue eyes, wide nose and braces. I saw myself wearing a white t-shirt, with jeans and sneakers. I remembered that picture I saw. The picture of the girl. She was perfect. I took the hair tie I put around my wrist and tied my hair into a ponytail.

I continued walking around the library. I looked at the bookshelves. There's one bookshelf that was smaller than the others. The weirdest thing about it is that it had a door and it was locked. I wondered why. "Should I try to open it ? Yeah, I should. After all it's my house now." I said to myself.

But where could the key possibly be ? "The table!" I shouted. I walked and I started to search for a key. I searched the whole table, the key wasn't there. The glowing thing that pointed the mirror was still there. I decided to pick it up and maybe keep it. I kept searching for the key. I searched the bookshelves. I saw something. I've found the key.

I was very excited. Now I feel like I'm one of the characters in mystery stories that I've read. I held the key and I tried to open it. I placed the key in, but it didn't fit. "This isn't the key ? Seriously ? Then where is it ?"

"The glowing thing !" I shouted excitingly.

I tried to open it with the glowing thing. And it opened. I opened it slowly, and it was empty. Nothing inside. Really, who would lock a bookshelf with nothing inside ? This bookshelf was smaller than the others but still very big and tall. I wondered if there's something on the top shelves ? The glowing thing was still glowing. So I took some steps backwards and pointed the light towards the top shelf.

"What is that ? Is it a book ?"

I climbed the shelves to reach that book. I took it and I climbed back down. I took that book and put it on the table. This golden covered book was extremely dusty. I put the glowing thing beside it. The glowing thing stopped glowing. Now it's just a wooden stick.

I wondered how ? How could it suddenly glow and stop ? I held it in my hands and then I read the title of the book. "The Secret Passageway." That was the title. I opened the book. It was filled with words. "Chapter one". Wait, what's happening ?

The words started to disappear. Every word of every sentence disappeared without a reason at all. Not long after that, the book started to glow. It glowed brighter and brighter. It glowed so bright, I had to close my eyes. But when I opened my eyes, something that's totally impossible happened.
