"EMILY !" I just got out of the library and when I left her, everything was completely fine. Well, other than the fact that she was acting a little weird. My feet stepped as quick as it could. Slamming the library's wooden door open.

"Emily, where are you ?"

She didn't answer. I looked for her near the table. She wasn't there. But there's a glowing stick on the table. Its glow is pointing to the mirror. Right in front of it, I found Emily.

I found her lying down on the floor like she just fainted. Maybe, she's just acting weird like when she hid under the table. Or it could mean there's something wrong.

I kneel down beside her. And the glowing light disappeared. I placed my hand under her neck and lift it carefully. Thankfully, she isn't injured. But there is something clearly wrong here. I know Emily, but I've never seen her like this.

Right now she seemed, WEAK.

But something tells me that I have to find out what happened. I placed my other hand under her knees and lift her up. I placed her on the long chair in front of the bay window and started to find evidence.

I started everything from the table. Was there anything suspicious ? Honestly, I don't really think there was. Maybe there's something in the drawers. But no, there isn't. The only thing that caught my eyes was a book. Well, the stick also. So, I put it in my pocket.

The book felt... WRONG.

There was something about this book. It was opened. The book was really thick but the only writting was "Chapter 1. Selena, can you live in a different world ?"

What does this suppose to mean. Who's Selena ? And what does it have to do with Emily. I have to find out what this mean. So, I took the book and I carried it to the place where I left Emily. I looked at her and I saw something that I never seen before. Emily didn't wear her necklace. Her favorite necklace.

Well, maybe to some people this looked normal. But to me it doesn't. Because I know something about her that she doesn't even know. That necklace isn't an ordinary necklace. Because it came from someone she loved. She knew that, but she doesn't know the truth. The real reason why they're not together.

But she never took that necklace off. I know a lot about her, but I don't think she knew a lot about me.

I leaned on the wall next to the long chair and opened it. "HEY !" She took the book from my hands. "Emily, are you okay ?" I asked her. She didn't answer me. She stood up instead and opened the book. Did the book just wrote by itself ? No, that couldn't be real. That's impossible.

"Why are you here ?" She asked. "Because I heard you screaming." I answered. "No, I mean, why are you still here ? Did you waited for me until I awake ?" She asked again. "Yes, I did." I replied. "Why ? You could just leave me on the floor if you want." She asked again. "Because I know that you're hiding something from me. You told me that everything's fine but I know that's not the truth."

"So, all you wanted to do is know the truth like a police ?" She asked. "No, all I wanted to do is to make sure that you're safe. And I know that right now you're not." "Why ? Does anyone pay you to be my bodyguard or something ? Tell me. " She asked. "Because I care about you."

"So please tell me what really happened. What you know. What does that book has to do with you and this weird glowing stick thing ? And stop acting like you don't know me Emily. I know that you don't know too much about me but at least I know that you know my name." I said.

I looked at her and she looked at me back. And she said "I don't trust you."

What ? Why ? Emily. How can I make her trust me ? Is this because of her parents, our parents. Our parents that adopted us. I know that they aren't nice. But I know that Emily really trust them. And now she doesn't trust me anymore. And she isn't wearing that necklace that MOTHER made her.

Emily, are you really going to do this. You are all I have. Please
