Emma's P.O.V.
My alarm seemed louder than usual
this morning. I manage to climb out of
bed and slide into my slippers. No matter how bad I want to climb back into bed, I can't. Today is my first day of senior year. Things will be better this year.
Louis and I will sit at in the garden as we eat lunch. His beautiful eyes will be on mine and I'll lay my head on his shoulder and we will hold hands and..... Stop Emma. He has a girlfriend. Sophie is good for him and they couldn't be more perfect for each other. You two are best friends and need to be supportive of their relationship.
You're off topic Emma. I glance at my alarm clock. I only have 15 minutes to get ready before Louis picks me up. Great, just great. I dare to look in the mirror. My blonde hair looks actually decent so I just pull it into a messy bun. So much for looking cute for Louis today... I mean for my fellow students. I really need to stop. I throw on my favorite sweater and jeans. I wonder if Louis likes this sweater... okay seriously Emma? I snap out of my madness when I hear I car horn. Louis is here. I run to the front door and slide off my slippers and put on my sneakers. Damn it, I forgot to feed the dog.
"Bella!" I watch my cute Teacup Yorkie run out of the living room and into the kitchen to see me. I set her bowl filled with dog food in its place and plant a kiss on her head. I start to scratch behind her ear as the car horn beeps, again. I give her another kiss and grab my bag. This day will be great, hopefully. I open the door to Louis climbing out of his car.
" I was just coming to get you, Em!" I love how he calls me that. I wonder if he sees me heart jump every time he says it. Stop.
" C'mon, we are going to be late." He smiles and I smile back. I make my way to the front seat as my smile fades.
" Hi, Emma! I asked Louis if I could ride to school with you guys. I hope you don't mind." Sophie smiles. I try to ignore the fire building up inside me.
" Oh, it's fine." I flash her a fake smile and climb into the back seat of the car. Of course she came, why wouldn't she? Why am I so bothered by this? Louis looks back at me and flashes his beautiful white smile. Now I remember why. Sophie turns around just as he focuses back on the road.
" This is going to be a great day!" She beams. I beg to differ. She plants a kiss on Louis's cheek. This is going to be a long day.
