Finn was the English teacher at McKinley and he was also the coach of Glee club. He was pretty content with his life. He's had a few short term relationships but something still felt wrong with every girl he's been with. Every time he was in a relationship with another girl he would constantly start thinking about Rachel and how things ended with her. He thought about her more than he thought he should be so now, ten years later, he's finally going to do something about it.

The school was about to go on holiday break so they had about another week or so of classes. He sat down in his classroom one day after school and opened up his laptop, where his background was an old picture of him and Rachel. He smiled at the picture, like he did everytime he opened his laptop, and went to his email and opened a new one. He took a deep breath and typed in Rachel's email address. He went to the the body of the email and started typing.

"Hey Rach! How have you been? Good I hope. You deserve it. How's broadway? I'm not really sure why i'm writing this email but you've been on my mind quite a lot lately and I just wanted to check up on you to see how you're doing..I actually kind of wanted to maybe see you. School is about to be out for the holidays and I was wondering if I could maybe visit? It's totally up to you, if you don't want to see me then that's fine. I hope to hear back from you. Love, Finn."

Finn read over the email about 50 times before he finally sent it. He closed his laptop, graded a few papers and then packed his things up and left and went home. All he thought about for the rest of the night was that email and if she would respond to him. He checked his email a million times that night and nothing.

When Finn woke up the next morning for school the first thing he did was check his email. He scanned the emails looking for Rachel's and he didn't see it. He sighed and then got out of his bed and got ready for work and then left for work. His day at work was really busy, but that didn't stop him from checking his email any time he could from his phone. He had to take a meeting with another teacher during his lunch break so he only got 5 free minutes before his next class started so he quickly checked his email and he saw he had an email from Rachel and it felt like someone punched him in the stomach. He didn't have enough time to read the email because his class started already.
