~"Cancerrrr.!..!." hissed the same voice again, this time louder and closer.  Cancer jumped up, shudders going throughout her body.  Then, all of a sudden she felt something shove her forward into the deep dark water.  The surprise attack was right in the middle of her spine causing her to be somewhat paralyzed, making her sink farther into the dark blue water with a muffled shriek, unable to move...~

Panic set in as Cancer tried to regain the feeling in her body. She could breathe in the water, being of the Water Element, but there was something about the dark murky blue water today that screamed, "get away!" Cancer loved all things water.  I mean it was what made up her entire embodiment!  But, lately the waters seemed different...they seemed more dangerous and corrupted.  She couldn't pinpoint exactly why, but she did know for sure that there was a long since forgotten, or at least gone (probably not forgotten since terrors like that don't easily fade from memory), force.  She didn't like her mind going to the dark places, especially not when she was sinking!  God, even the depth seemed deeper than normal!  Wait a minute...it was deeper.  What the hell is going on?  Why was she shoved over the pier?  That was pretty stupid, Cancer is a Water element, so she'd obviously survive; she could just be in danger is all.  Conspiracies were running through her head. Suddenly, she felt a muscular arm grasp hers and pull her to the surface. Feeling started to spread throughout her body again as she spit out some seawater.

"Gosh, Cancer I am so sorry." said the voice of one of her brothers. Cancer looked up and saw the worried face of Scorpio.

"What the fuck was that?!?" Cancer protested loudly, wringing the water out of her blond hair.  She was having such a good hair day too.  Cancer's voice rarely escalated that high, but Scorpio- "You scared the living shit out of me!"  Well, that's pretty much it.

"I'm sorry I'm sorry, it was meant to be a playful-playful-push," Scorpio stuttered, trying to calm Cancer down.  The last thing he wanted was Cancer to go out of control.  Things weren't pretty when that happened.

"Okay, I forgive you," she said, trailing off, a devilish grin forming at her lips.  An idea sparked in her mind.

A sigh of relief came out of Scorpio, his eyes lighting up as he looked at her.  "You mean it?" he asked, full of hope.

Cancer smirked before pushing him into the water with all her might.  He let out a shrill shriek, like those of little girls (more like scared shitless cocky guys), his arms flailing as he splashed into the water on his back.  "Ha!  As if!" Cancer exclaimed, wiping her hands off together.  He was floating in the water looking up at her with a bit of annoyance.  "Now I forgive you."

"Gee thanks," he monotoned before crawling back onto the pier.

"Oh come on, Scorps, don't be like that.  You totally deserved that payback." Cancer singsonged, using his nickname.  Scorpio rolled his eyes.

Scorpio mumbled a "whatever" as he stormed off, leaving the pier.  Cancer skipped towards him, following him down the sandbanks.  Out of nowhere, a great owl swooped down and stopped midair in front of Cancer who sweetly smiled at the magnificent bird.  He dropped the letters that were in his beak into her open palm, she used the other hand to pet his head gently.  The owl rubbed against her hand before bowing and heading off.  She bowed in return.  Scorpio gave her a weird look.

"What?" Cancer asked him, defensively.

"Nothing.  Whatcha got there, sis?" responded Scorpio, raising his eyebrows as he looked at the three envelopes with swirly handwriting on them.
