In one of the rooms in the Earth Wing, paced an agitated Capricorn. After the incident in the hallway, he had to calm himself down. He did have a bit of a temper. Taking a stroll in his forest always calmed him down, but this wasn't his forest and he tried to calm himself down by just pacing. It wasn't really working for him though...or those around him...
"Cap! I can hear your clompy feet all the way in my room!" screamed a fed up Virgo who was on the verge of sleep only to keep being startled awake by the resounding thuds of Cap's angered steps.
"Deal with it!" he yelled back. He could tell Virgo growled and went back to whatever she was doing in there. Probably something archery related. Capricorn stopped pacing. He had his fists clenched and slowly released them in realization.
"I need some fresh air..." Cap muttered to himself. Ironic that he was in the sector of Air, but apparently he felt stuffy in the clouds. He missed his trees and plains and streams and mountains. He missed everything about the Earth Sector. He was homesick and it'd barely been a day. I'll have to talk to Aquarius about making this place more homely for all of us later... Capricorn walked out of his room and out of the castle entirely. He listened quietly and heard the trickling of water. Thank god. I can finally be in my own landscape. Capricorn imagined the streams in the vast forests in the Earth Sector. He closed his eyes and breathed in happily, almost feeling at home. Following the sound of water, he came upon a small yet beautiful waterfall that seemed to come from the sky. He closed his eyes and breathed in the air around him, smiling.
"Capricorn?" questioned a small soft voice. He jumped and his eyes opened and widened, definitely not expecting someone else to be out here right now. He looked towards the source of the voice and saw the dainty yet beautifully sculpted figure of Cancer turned around from her seat on the rock of the pool to face him.
"Geez Cancer, you scared me." he said.
"Sorry," she replied with a laugh. Her feet were dangling in the small blue pool of water that was glistening in the starlight. "What are you doing out here?"
"Oh um I just needed some fresh air which is kind of ironic considering..." he answered.
"Yeah..." she giggled.
"Hey, um," Capricorn rubbed the back of his neck, something he did whenever he was nervous or ashamed. "I'm uh I'm sorry about what I said earlier. I didn't mean it offensively. I have nothing against Water..."
"It's alright, I forgive you. I'm sorry to." responded Cancer with a smile. That's so sweet of him to apologize! Most people would be too headstrong to do so...
"Mind if I join you?" he asked, motioning to the pool where Cancer was sitting. It looked so relaxing and cooling.
"Not at all." Cancer answered, turning back around to face the water. Capricorn walked over and sat down before spinning around to put his feet in the water. Aahhh...that feels nice. The rock surrounding the pool was smooth and cool to the touch.
"How'd you come across this?" he asked, running his fingers along the glossy surface of the water.
"Water calls to me, I'm connected to it. I would assume the way you are to Earthly things," Cancer's soft voice mused.
"Makes sense and I am connected to my element. This is the first time I've been away from my realm...and I feel homesick. Do you? Is this your first time away too?" Capricorn asks with curiosity and slight longing.
