I walk towards the edge of the woods with Luke following me. I hear the ringtone of Kenny Chesney's There goes my life, which signals me that my dad is calling me. Shit. What's wrong? This I say as I show him my phone with my dad's face on the screen. And that's bad how? Just answer it sweetheart, I'm right here supporting you Lyss. Thanks Luke. I breathe and answer the call on the last ring.-Hello? Alyssa?!- No its Barney, yes dad. -Where the hell are you?! Are you okay? Did.....?!- DAD! I yell to stop his rambling questions. I'm fine, I just fell asleep in my meadow and my phone was in my backpack so I didn't hear the texts or calls till now. I'm really sorry Poppa. Yep should be home in 15 minutes. Can you keep the troops at ease till I get there? -Yes dear Ally but don't be late.- Course Dad. Bye love you. -Love you too kiddo. See ya soon :)

Ok Luke we've got 10 minutes to make it to school. What about your house Lyss? Don't worry I can run and make it in time. Why don't I just drive you home, it would be faster. Nope my feet are faster than that clunker car of yours. Hey! My car's not that old! That's what you believe love! I tease him and keep walking to the school. Bye Lukey! I start running home as I have exactly 5 minutes. As I run I hear a car coming past me but I realize its Luke in his '97 Chevy pickup. I can make it! I tell him and keep running. I know you can sweetheart, I'm just making sure you get home safely. Damn overprotective wolf. I mutter and smirk before waving bye at Luke from my driveway.

I come through the garage door that connects to the kitchen. I grab a coke and a package of Oreos before walking into the living room where everyone's staring at the front door as they wait for me. Who y'all waiting for?! I ask sarcastically. I hear everyone yell and scream my name either happily or angrily. Woah hold your paws. I'm only accepting hugs right now, punches and slaps later. Mom, Dad and Cloe come to give me hugs but Nate, Geo and Dave stay seated on the couch. Aw no love from my brothers, now that hurts! :( I let fake tears make my eyes glassy. Thankfully my dad lectures the boys by saying now boys, you know you can't stay mad at her for long so why don't you forgive her now before she has real tears in her eyes. I watch as Nate bravely moves and gives me a bear hug first then Geo & Dave sandwich me into a hug. Thanks guys. I smile and sit down next to the rents. "So where did you go?" Dave asks me and I say, my meadow but I fell asleep and left my phone in my backpack so I didn't hear your texts or calls. I'm sorry that I scared you all like that but I have other news for y'all. I-I met my mate today. 3.2.1. WHAT?! Comes from Geo and Dave but my parents smile happily and there's nothing from Nate and Cloe. Alyssa dear, tell us about him! I turn towards mom and smile. Well he's the same age and grade as me, about 6'5 on me but 6'3 on Dad. He has ocean blue eyes and maple brown hair. His wolf is tan and black. He and his wolf are handsome and sexy as hell. I smile as Dave & Geo's big brother over protectiveness comes out to play. Oh calm your goat nipples bros. Whats his rank Ally cat?" Um he's an future alpha Dad. "Of what pack?" He asks me. O-Ours.... "Luke is your mate?!" All four males yell angrily. I'm gonna.... NOTHING! I cut them off yelling LEAVE HIM BE! Yes I didn't know he was my mate till today but I've already talked to him and forgiven him for his stupid ways. We all have our own faults and mistakes. Dad, you snore very loudly; David you talk with your mouth full, and George you are very judgmental. Yes these are all small things but it helps my point that we all are not perfect! Dad hugs me after I stop screaming at him. "Okay kiddo, but if he hurts you, just come tell your old man and I'll straighten him out for you." Okay thanks Poppa but you're also so crazy! "Yes I'm a crazy old man with an amazing family! Anyone else got news? Boys? Cloe?" Cloe says I've got news, Dad, I met my mate about a week ago, Nate is my mate." Wow! I didn't see that coming! I say and shock sets in me as Dad hugs me tightly. I hear Cloe say Lyss! Please don't hate us! I nod a okay before saying I don't and I don't think I could ever hate you two. I'm gonna go sit in my room.

"Okay sweetie" I lay on my stomach and text Luke.
(AL- Lyss, L-Luke sorry not sorry there's text lingo)

L: what happened Lyss?
Al: I'll give u the short version of wat happened. I came through the back door & scared my fam since they thought I'd go through the front door. I told them bout us also Nate & Cloe r mates. Fun :/
L: wow I should've made a bet on them being mates. :P
AL: I feel I'm gonna be 3wheelin alot more now tho.

L: Rodney Atkins, McGraw, and Flatts for country. Toby Mac and crowder are my fav Christian singers.
Al: Geo loves Toby Mac! He blasts his musica all the time! He can say the lyrics by heart
L: wow a big fan u could say

I smile and go shower and connect my phone to its charger before coming downstairs in a big large comfy tee with my husky printed pj pants. I sit down next to Mom. I see everyone in either the living room or kitchen. Ma, whats going on? "We were waiting for you to return downstairs but the teens got hungry so they're in the kitchen." Cool, I snuggle into Ma saying I missed you. "Me too sweetie" I smile as she pets and plays with my bangs. Damn that feels amazing Ma, I tell her and she laughs and continues petting my bangs. I close my eyes and drift to sleep but hear a I love you Alyssa from mom.
