Chapter 3

Ryan, I'm going to shift so Mari can be with you, turn around Wolfie. I shift into my silver wolf with blue streaks and give Mari control for a while. I watch as Mari nudges Ryan, he turns and licks her cheek and muzzle. For a second I wish that was me and Luke before I push that out of my mind. Mari purrs in response to Ryan's kisses before giving him a kiss too. Mari, times up! I growl and fight her as I see Luke fighting Ryan, I feel worry as I watch them. Mari gives up control easily since she knows how much I really care for Luke. I shift back and pull my hoodie and jeans but Luke stays in wolf form. I know its him by his ocean blue eyes. Luke, you alright? He nods and pads over to me, laying down for me to pet his fur while I hear Luke cute growls and purrs of contentment. I start humming the lyrics of Walk a Little Straighter Daddy by Billy Currington

On graduation day

Luke whines and I look at him still humming softy. What boy? He mind links me asking is that song about your dad? No silly Wolfie, its about the singer's daddy not mine, I say softly as he looks me in the eye to see if I'm lying. "Why don't you believe me Wolfie boy?" I ask a little hurt at how little he trusts me. Lyss I do believe you and also think you connect to the song since you go through the same with your dad. Wow... I lay in the grass with Luke next to me, not saying anything else. I shiver as the sun sets and it becomes night. Luke lets me snuggle into his warm fur, before I drift off to sleep I whisper I love you Lukey.
