My alarm of the 1975's Chocolate woke me up at 8:00. I immediately reached to shut it off before releasing today was the day. Today was the day of my first date with Shawn.
Since it was still early, I decided to take my time getting ready. I connected my phone to my speakers and started to blast music whilst making my breakfast. I wonder what Shawn is doing right now? Even in complete solitude I could not shake his presence.
After eating and doing the basics, I changed for the gym. I was dressed and ready so I plugged in my headphones and started to run.
Shawns POV
I woke up to Andrew, my manger, screaming for me to get ready. "My date isn't until seven, let me sleep!!!" I replied before covering my heard with my pillow. Oh Leigh, I couldn't wait to see her in the new dress again.
"I don't care about your date!" He replied. "You have an interview at 1, and if you want to go to the gym you have to go now."
Andrew has been my manager since the beginning and he knew pretty much everything about me, including my obsession with working out everyday. I got up before Andrew could drag me out of my bed himself. I skipped breakfast and just brushed my teeth, then made my way to the closest gym.
Leg day! I said to myself while plugging in my headphones. Half way through my workout, I was taking a break when I saw a little brown girl out of the corner of my eye working with a jacked dude. She reminded me of Leigh immediately, but it couldn't be her! Right?

I continued my workout still wondering if it was Leigh in the gym with that guy.
Leigh's POV: Today I had a session with my trainer, Derek. He was a previous marine and showed me no mercy to me during our sessions. During my workout I was allowed one break. Derek had walked over with me to get a drink. I had my water near the weights, but as I got closer I saw someone extremely familiar. SHAWN!
He couldn't see me like this! I immediately turned so he couldn't see me and returned to my previous spot with Derek. I'm pretty sure Shawn didn't see me. I mentally high fived myself for escaping before beginning my set of squats.
Shawn POV: I was still very confused after the "Leigh at the gym" situation, but I still had time before my interview. I decided to walk around New York to get a smoothie. I found a shop easily and ordered. While waiting I texted Leigh.
Shawn: Hey, just confirming our date tonight!
No response. Huh. She normally replied quickly. By the time my drink was ready I still had not gotten a reply. I couldn't help but wonder if she was with that guy from the gym.
Stop Shawn! I mentally yelled at myself. She's not your girlfriend, she can see other guys. But still it hurt. I tried to distract myself by preparing for interview. My fans normally could get my mind off of anything, but somehow I couldn't forget Leigh.
Before I knew it Andrew and I were in an Uber on our way to the Elvis Duran Show. I never really got nervous for interviews, especially because Elvis was so friendly. Andrew was rambling on but I was still thinking about Leigh.
"Shawn!" Elvis welcomed me. "You ready?"
"Of course."
The radio manager signaled Elvis and we begun. He asked me all the basic questions: new music, tour, growing up.. blah blah blah
But then he said something that made me more alert. "So Shawn, obviously girls love you, but my question is do you love anyone in particular."
I gave my basic response "Well I love my fans so much and always will." But then I decided to add, " but actually there is someone I'm falling for."
"Oh really." Elvis said shocked that I gave him so personal info. "And what is she like?"
"Well, I'm not quite ready to share that information, but she's wonderful and makes me happy. That is all I want to say for now."
"Did you head that? Shawn Mendes is smitten!" I laugh at him and he ends the broadcast. "Well everyone, that's it for today with Shawn, but stay tuned because later we will be giving away tickets to Shawn's first sold out MSG headline show!"
I said my goodbyes before hoping into another uber with Andrew. "I didn't know you were so infatuated with this girl." Andrew said.
"I am." I replied crossing my arms over my chest because I was pleased with myself after that interview. Now I just have to be as smooth on my date as I was for the interview.
