I was woken with kisses all over face. My immediate instinct was to scrunch up my face and swing so I did.
"Ow, what the heck babe? What was that for?"
I opened my eyes to see Shawn rubbing his nose. My hands went to my mouth to cover my laughter.
"I'm so sorry." I said through giggles.
"Yeah yeah yeah." Shawn said. " I was just trying to wake up my girlfriend." He slid a tray of yummy breakfast food in front of my face.
"Shawn!! You're too sweet!" I pecked him on the cheek.
"You're lucky I like you." He replied s and returned the kiss this time on my lips. "Listen I have to go to meetings today but I should be back in a few hours. Is that okay?"
"Of course! Don't worry about me, love." I took a piece of my toast and turned my hand to share with Shawn. He gladly took a bite. "I know how to handle myself."
He laughed and rolled his eyes at me whilst getting up from the bed and grabbing his jacket. "Bye Leigh." He said opening the door ready to exit.
"Bye, my love!"
After finishing up my breakfast, I cleaned the kitchen and changed into my workout outfit. I headed to the gym to meet Derek.
He killed me, as usual.
I went back to the apartment, cleaned myself up and began to write music. I had just finished the perfect song and decided to record it.
I was lost in the song. The melody and lyrics blended perfectly. I sang my heart out and opened my eyes once I was done. I stopped recording and looked up to see Shawn standing right in front of me, jaw on the floor.
"Hello." I shyly waved towards him.
"Omigosh Leigh." He sat done next to me on my piano bench. "That's was insane. When? What? How??"
"Calm down love. I learned to play when I was about ten and just never stopped. It was until recently that I started writing." I explained.
"Wow. Who knew you could be anymore perfect?" He whispered into my ear, nibbling a little at the tip.
He continued to scoop me up and carry me the couch. "You can cook, write, play, crack jokes and sing!" He sat down next to me on the couch taking my hands, "Perfect."
"Shawn stop. You're making me blush." I placed the back of my hands to my cheeks and felt intense heat.
"So what do you want to do?" He asked.
"I doesn't matter to me.What do you want to do?"
Listen to you sing." He confessed. And so we did. He listened to most of my songs for the rest of the night and didn't say a word.
