Summer Allister is the oldest of her cousins but only by a couple of months. She usually comes to the beach along with the rest of her family every summer. This is the first time things have been different.

Her mother passed away last Christmas. A few months later, her dad married a family friend, Rory. Rory is nice enough. Summer doesn't have much to do with her.

After a long day at the beach, she walks back to her cabin, where she finds her cousin Lena laying on the bed with messed up hair and the sheets and blankets on her bed completely ruffled.

Lena gasps and then Summer gasps when she realizes that Noah is in the bed next to her.

Summer covers her eyes. "What the fuck?!"

Noah grins and pulls the sheets up more to cover Lena's shoulder.

Lena turns red. "I'm not a whore!" She explains.

Summer peeks through her fingers and Noah wags his eyebrows at her, causing her to smile slightly.

"I came back to get some clothes," Summer tells them, crossing the room to her wardrobe. "But, I wouldn't mind a show while I change-"

"Summer!" Lena yells.

Summer grins. She pulls on some high-waisted black denim shorts, then a long sleeved black shirt while Noah teases Lena, telling Summer about how good Lena is in bed.

Summer pulls in some thigh high black hose and her black combat boots, grabbing her bag.

She smirks at Noah. "Take care of her- she's a virgin." She teases, laughing when Lena groans and hides her face in his chest.

A grin spreads across Noah's face. "Not anymore."

Summer laughs and leaves.

Summer is in town at a small bookstore. She would normally be at the beach, but it's raining today.

She picks up a novel and then sits down in one of the chairs to read it.

After a while, someone sits down beside her, but she's too into the book to care who it is.

She turns a page and the person clears their throat.

Another page and the person shifts in their chair, loudly.

The next page, the person sighs dramatically and Summer puts her book on her lap, defeated. She looks over to see the most gorgeous man she's ever seen, sitting beside her. She blinks, then his eyes meet hers and a beautiful half-smile lights up his handsome face. Summer smiles back, awkwardly, then looks away quickly, trying to go back to her book.

Then the guy looks at her. "You're reading The Great Gatsby?"

She smiles. "Yeah. I like the author." She shrugs. "He's a great writer."

"It's an interesting book." He says, an amused smirk on his face.

She smiles.

"What's your name?" He asks.

"I'm Summer."

"My name's Art. Well, it's Arthur. Art for short."

She grins and holds out her hand and he shakes it. "It's very nice to meet you, Art. " She says, amused.

He smiles. "You too,"

After a minute, he stands. "Would you like to have a coffee with me?" He asks, suddenly.

She hesitates, but then nods and he offers her his hand. She takes it and he helps her up.

"You don't remember me, do you?" he asks.
