11)    Meeting the Dales (4 Months 2 Days)

It’s getting kind of depressing, the fact that I’m counting down each day ‘til Jackson heads off to London. I only have eighteen days left with him in Wolverhampton and so far we’ve been spending most of our free hours together and I’m not going to lie, it’s been awesome.

I walked down the stairs in my pyjamas still and with Coley in my arms. I peered into the kitchen looking for my mum but she wasn’t there. I heard the TV going in the living room so that was my second best bet. When I got into the lounge, my mum was chilling on the sofa whilst dunking biscuits into her tea. ‘Mum...’ I dragged sweetly.

‘What do you want?’ my mum asked in responses as she took a bite of the biscuit carefully, trying not to drop it onto her clothes.

‘I was wondering if I could go to a theme park with Jackson later on today,’ I suggested politely as I sat down beside mum whilst making Coley a little more comfortable.

‘Usually I would say yes, but today I can’t do that,’ my mum spoke. She was speaking in quite an annoying tone and it made me a little angry.

‘Why not?’ I asked quickly, it probably sounded more snappy, but whatever.

‘I’ve already made plans for us to go and meet Toby’s family; we’re going to visit them at a restaurant closer to where Toby lives though,’ my mum told me.

‘Do you think, because I’m the best daughter ever, that maybe Jackson can tag along?’ I asked as I made puppy-dog eyes at my mum. My mum rolled her eyes but nodded her head.

‘I guess he can just because he’s leaving soon,’ my mum stated. ‘We’re leaving at about one so make sure everyone is ready please.’ I nodded as I stood up again before rushing off to the kitchen to get Coley’s milk.

Jackson and I met up at the shopping centre once we’d discussed going to see Toby’s family. We had to buy some more clothes for Coley; all his clothes were getting too small for him which sucked because they were all so cute. ‘What are we getting?’ Jackson asked as he took over the pram pushing. I looked at Coley who was grabbing at the toys which were hanging off the hood in his pram.

‘He just needs something cute to wear for today because we’re meant to be going to a fancy place,’ I told Jackson as we walked side-by-side through the shopping centre.

‘I bought him some formal-ish clothes the other day,’ Jackson stated as he looked at me with wide eyes. I nodded my head and Jackson cocked his head.

‘Those clothes don’t fit him anymore, I told you that they wouldn’t last very long because you bought them in a dodgy size,’ I told Jackson as though he was stupid.

‘Why is he getting so big so quickly? I mean he’s going to be towering over you by the time he is two,’ Jackson laughed as he put his finger into Coley’s hand. Coley instantly tried to put Jackson finger to his mouth, he’s gotten to that stage of wanting to put everything in his mouth and it’s kind of worrying.

‘He’s supposed to be growing, the midwife said he was fine the other day so don’t go worrying me about how big he’s getting,’ I warned as I dragged Jackson into a shop which had baby clothes in the window-display.

Jackson and I came out of the fifth shop with another bag to add to the other three we already had. ‘I think we have enough now, Bella,’ Jackson asked me as he eyed the shopping bags.

‘I guess we have enough,’ I giggled as I took the pram away from Jackson who was looking pretty drained. ‘Isn’t that your friends there?’ I asked as I pointed to the group of lads.
