21) Summer Holiday’s, Lets Camp! (8 Months 5 Days)
At home I’d said a quick bye to my mum who was more bothered about getting to work on time. Now I was sat in a rented car outside of Jackson’s parents house.
‘Ale, would you unload Coley’s things? We have to get to Louisa’s house sometime today,’ I laughed as I rushed to the back of the rented car before removing Coley from his car seat and cradling him in my arms as I rushed up Jackson’s driveways.
Almost as soon as I had knocked at the door Marie answered with a beaming smile. ‘Hiya Isabella, do you want me to help you unpack?’ Marie asked, I had to leave Coley at Marie’s for the weekend as my mum had a few longer shifts this weekend and I didn’t want to worry her with Coley.
‘Alejandro is getting all of Coley’s bags, I just have to get his car seat,’ I responded as I handed Coley who was in some giggly mood like usual.
Marie nodded before scooting into the house; she couldn’t stop smiling as she looked at Coley’s little face.
Coley didn’t spend too much time with Jackson’s parents so when I allowed Marie to have him, she was always over the moon.
‘Isabella, take these,’ Alejandro instructed as he handed me all of Coley’s bags before walking to the backseat of the car so he could fetch Coley’s car seat.
I paced back up the driveway taking large steps as I did so. Marie was still stood at the bottom of the stairs just playing with Coley. ‘Everything should be in his bag, if not then you probably have it here anyway,’ I notified Marie as I took Coley back from her.
‘When are you planning on getting back?’ Marie asked me as she ran her fingers over the bags, taking quick glances in each one.
‘Tomorrow probably sometime after dinner,’ I told Marie, I didn’t have a set time as I wasn’t completely sure what was happening.
‘Okay, just keep safe,’ Marie warned me. I nodded as I looked at my little boy who was smiling up at me.
‘I’ll miss you little boy, be good for grandma and don’t cry too much,’ I smiled as I gave him a quick kiss on his forehead before handing him back to Marie. Alejandro walked into the house before placing Coley’s car seat on the floor. ‘Thank you so much for doing this,’ I appreciated as I smiled at Marie who was still examining all of Coley’s belongings.
‘It’s fine, I’ve been waiting for a weekend with my grandson for a while now. I’m going to spoil him rotten,’ Marie beamed as she stood up straight. ‘Anyway you best get off, I don’t want you being late for your trip,’ Marie insisted.
‘Thanks again,’ I said as I kissed Coley’s cheek before running out of the house to where Alejandro was already waiting in the car.
When we pulled up at Louisa’s house, there was already four other cars pulled up outside. Everyone was in the garden sorting out which luggage was going in which car; I think we was trying to narrow it down to only three cars going instead of five.
‘Isabella, Alejandro!’ Louisa squeaked as she rushed over to us all, giving me a big hug, ‘Did you bring food, you bought the food right?’
‘We bought the food, and we rented this car so we’re taking it down with us,’ I stated simply as I walked onto the yard, scanning my beady eyes over all of the different things which had been bought.
In total there was twelve people going on our little voyage to some creek not too far from Wolverhampton, it’s about an hour and a half drive to go but we went about two years ago so everyone knows the way.
