This chapter may seem choppy and all over the place but there's a reason. 🙃 I just want to apologize in advance for this chapter ... I'm sorry 😩
Imani and Armoni ☝🏽
Armoni POV:
I was awakened in the middle of the night with these horrible stomach cramps. I laid there for a while, just trying to ignore the pains but they soon became unbearable. I picked up my phone and noticed it was four in the morning. "What in the hell?" I mumbled to myself. I got up and quietly tried to make my way to the bathroom since EJ and Christopher were still sound asleep in the bed.
I didn't want to wake up either of them. After explaining in depth to EJ that Daddy wasn't coming back, he cried for a good hour straight before finally falling asleep. We had to be up in a few hours to take Manny back to the jail and Chris was driving so I wanted him to be well rested. Both of my boys needed sleep and I didn't want to interfere with their rest.
With each step I took, an excruciating jolt of pain shot through my body. I balled up my fist and held it to my mouth to prevent myself for screaming out in pain. "Shiiiiiit!" I groaned. The pain that I was feeling, felt like period cramps to the tenth power. Hell I felt like I was in labor and about to give birth to a thirty two pound baby. I wouldn't even wish this feeling on my worst enemy.
Once I finally made it inside of the bathroom, I shut the door behind me and turned the light on. I looked down and noticed that blood was running down my legs and my pajama shorts were completely soaked in my blood. "Oh my God." I gasped. I wasn't due to start my period any time soon, so I was confused as to where all of this blood was coming from and why the hell I was bleeding so damn much. The sight of all the blood immediately made my stomach turn, making me nauseous.
I rushed to the toilet as fast as this pain would allow me. After barely making it to the toilet, I lifted the lid to the seat and began emptying the contents of my stomach. As I continued throwing up, the cramps in my stomach began to intensify each time my stomach muscles were used. "God help me, please." I mumbled incoherently.
I was cold and my body felt so drained and weak. My vision started to blur and I felt myself becoming dizzy, I also began struggling to breathe with each breath that I tried to inhale. Feeling my body begin to sway, I tried to grab on to something to prevent myself from falling over but my surroundings completely went black as my head hit the edge of the toilet and I collapsed to the ground.
I woke up the the sound of beeping. The bed that I was laying in was hard, the covers that were on me were rough and scratchy, and the room was cold. From past experience, it didn't take me long to realize that I was in a hospital. The events that led me to be here, all came flooding through my memory and filled my mind.
I hadn't opened my eyes yet because my head was throbbing like hell. After laying there for a few minutes and listening to the sound of the beeping heart monitor and the soft sound of snoring, I finally opened my eyes. The lights in the room were dimmed but it still took my eyes some time to adjust. I looked at the IV that was in my arm and sighed.
I blinked a few times before looking up and all around the room. Chris was sitting right beside me in a chair with his feet propped up on the bed. I wanted to wake him to let him know that I was up but I knew that he was tired so I let him be. I was going to force myself to go back to sleep to get some rest. I shifted my body to make myself a little more comfortable in this hard ass bed. "How are you feeling, baby?" I heard Chris ask me, scaring the shit out of me and making me jump.
