Under the Lights- Kim Taehyung

14. Confrontation

It was 3:55 pm. I was waiting. Maybe I went too early. Desperate much. I was waiting in front of this coffee shop and now I need to ask her about Taehyung. Why did he hate her? What did she do? Why would her boyfriend be an arsehole? Why am I doing so much for him? Will he like it? I am only his roommate nothing more....

"Um, hi..." someone called me.
"Oh" I got startled.  I looked back. It was Aro. "Hi."
"Shall we sit?" I asked.
"Let's"
We sit and I start the conversation by what she was doing. She owned the company that Taehyung's parents have partnership. She wore a grey culottes and a crop top with a shrug. She was literally goals. No wonder Taehyung would fall for her and not me. Why did I even mention that ?
"So how much do you know about Taehyung?" She asked me.
"It's been a month." I answered.
"Um, the thing is...." I fidgeted. I don't know why I felt her intimidating. I looked at her. She was scared AF. She didn't want to talk much about it. It seemed she knew why she came here.

I continued, "the thing is that you are his childhood friend and I know you have a strong bond between the two of you. You really want to talk to him but he doesn't and I know it feels bad but-"
"What do you know about Taehyung not talking to me? He's just stressed." She rebuked.
"I meant that I can help you, if you want to be in good terms with him."
"I am in good terms with him! What makes you say that! We have been friends since we were born!"

"So that's why he is upset with you and your boyfriend is not cooperating with you?"
"Wh-what? How do you know about him?"
"Oh yeah! You were cheating on him for Taehyung because you liked Taehyung more than him right?"
"No!" She shouted. Well unfortunately, to the point the entire world heard us; the one serving coffee judged us.
"I am sorry...." she murmured.

"Let's talk about this outside, if you want to.." I tried to calm her down, that means she had something to say.
"No, it's fine..." she said.
"Look, I know you don't want to express but listen, your boyfriend doesn't seem the type who would allow to meet Taehyung but if you want I can do something about it. Clear off everything with him so both of you can live peacefully."
"It's not possible."
"Why?"
She took a deep breath.

"Taehyung and I have known each other since we were kids. I was older to him by 2 years. I always treated him like my little brother. When I first started dating, he was my first love. Jimmy was everything to me. I couldn't have been more happy but my parents didn't approve the relationship. Things went bad when he started to be possessive about me;if I talked to anybody or went out without him.
One day, Taehyung and I were in Hyde park just to talk and he saw me and dragged me to his house and slapped me. I broke up with him on that very spot. He couldn't take it because he loved me. We had fights after that. He wasn't physically abusing me but he tortured me mentally.
I was feeling frustrated and the only one who helped me out was Taehyung. I never expected him to have feelings for me. I always treated him like a little brother. But he was strong and manly at that time and the only thing I wanted was to stay away from Jimmy..." tears started flowing from her eyes and now she was sobbing.

She continued, "I started having feelings for Taehyung. I knew it was wrong but I felt attracted to him. Puberty hit him hard. He was cute back then and handsome now. He and I had done it twice and I was the one losing his virginity. I lost mine with Jimmy before but now things went out of hand. Jimmy suspected as I was avoiding him. I don't know how he met Taehyung. He beat him up. He was harmed to the point he was hospitalized. His parents never knew the reason. He saved me. He said that he got hit by an accident. A stupid lie. He wasn't angry with me because he was hurt. He was angry because I betrayed him. I dont know I am attracted to Jimmy. I used Tae for lust. His parents decided to protect him and only marry me because of future prospects."

"So, that's why he doesn't want to talk to u now?"
"I only talk about career stuff. I broke his heart. Isn't it obvious?"
"And you came to apologize?"
"I did but only if he could forgive me..." she sighed when she cried. All I did was holding her hand and tried comforting her."

She loved him. I felt bad for both of of them because of misunderstanding. I wanted to help but I realized that it meant to interfere in their relationship.
"How about you talk to Taehyung again?"
"No point. I tried doing it. Not just once, not twice, but a million times.. I love him because he is a family."
Hmm I don't know what to do.I bid a goodbye to her and walked back to my classes.

However I felt someone following me. I looked back and saw no one. I kept on walking but the footsteps were loud and clear. I turned again and no one. I might have been hallucinating

I return back to the room after my classes, where V was studying? Probably.
I go back to my room when he asked me, "where've you been?" He just startled me for a second.
"Um to the London Cafeteria?"
"Hmm ok."
Ok? That's all?
"So you went with Aro Noona didn't you?"
Oh crap. Aro must have told him.
"Uh yeah but how do you know?"
"She texted me."
Is she an idiot? Or is she a troublemaker?
"Why did you meet her?" Taehyung asked and he was angry. Like his low pitch which is going deeper was freaking me out.
Calm down Bora.
"Thought that I would meet a pretty lady."
"And what did you talk to her?"
"Nothing much.."
"Why did you discuss about the relationship?"
I kept quiet.
"I.....uh....wanted to-"
"WHAT DID YOU WANT?" He screamed.
I flinched. He was really angry.
"Just because I allowed to share my stuff with you doesn't mean you interfere in them!
"But I-" I was about to open up my mouth when I heard a door knock. It was getting louder as the door was banging constantly. I freaked out.
It then stopped.

Taehyung walked over to the door and waited. He stood there. As he went away from the door. The door broke open and we saw someone standing. He was wearing black hoodie and jeans and he was a tall guy with a really pissed face.
I looked at V. He was even more pissed. That look both of gave was scary. It seemed like they both met eachother.
"How did you find our house jimmy?" V asked.

"Because this bitch met Aro and who knew she would be your girlfriend? So you've became like Aro, hooking up with two people at once!"
"STOP IT!" V shouted and by then they started punching each other.
