18. Seeing isn't believing

We were super close and I could feel his breath.
"Yes." I whispered. He stopped right away.
No I didn't like Nick. I didn't want to date him. I was doing it all for you.

He turned away and sat to do his assignment. I went back to my room.
I was hurt. He was about to kiss. I was expecting it too.

I really liked him.

Was this love? Maybe not yet.

It was a couple months where we were supposed to 'date'.

Nick and I had a group project. We could choose our partners. We were doing pretty well. All the stuff was done at the library. Half the time we whined about our love lives.

Taehyung had his projects. Even internships. He was more busy than me.
The last day for our project, Nick had to come to my house because it was part of our plan.

I told Taehyung about it. As usual he was indifferent.

I greeted Nick that evening and took him to my room. We finished the project and we had fun the entire evening. The sigh of relief!

"Now what?" I asked
"Now what what?"
"I am so sorry if I am whining about this but we no longer talk like friends. It's like something stopping us,"
"Do you like him that much?" Nick pouted.
"Yeah. A lot. I see him everyday. Honestly he was my ideal type."
"Why do you have to work so hard for something you can't get?" He was frustrated.
"Isn't that why you should work hard?"
"See it's annoying that you talk everything about him, more bad than good. You fall for just because he is your roommate. Should you even fall for him like that?"
"Do you have a roommate?"
"Don't mention it."
"I am pretty sure it's Matt..." I raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah...."he shrugged. Cute Nick got caught.
"Don't worry, roomies are best friends at the end of the day. My case is different. This guy has a lot of stuff to handle. You will find someone better than me."

After that we watched GoT. Our jam.
We were engrossed in the show. I love Sansa <3.

Last finishing touches and it was dinner time. I told him to stay for dinner. He refused. He wanted to settle things with Matt. I was in my laptop and something caught my eye. It was hurting.

Nick offered help and every time I refused the pain aggravated.

"Sit down!" Nick exclaimed. Took my shoulders and placed it on the bed. He tried blowing out in my eye. He was super close to me. I was getting flustered. It would like were kissing if someone saw us.
And someone HAD to see it.

V opened the door and obviously saw us.

"Oh I apologize! I forgot to knock!" He exclaimed. He became shy and flustered.
By then my dust got removed. We looked at him. I was gawking at him.

Crap. I wish he hadn't seen this.

"Dinner guys.." he said.

We came out immediately.

"Uh, actually I have plans, so maybe some other day...." Nick told V.

We bid goodbye.

Nick texted me.
You and him look good together.
I smiled.
Taehyung was in the kitchen. It been a while I haven't cooked anything.
"Whatcha makin?" I asked.
"Pasta" that gleam he had on his face.
"My brothers love it! When my parents are out to trips. I make it for them."

He took a spoonful and pointed to my mouth.

"Say ahhhh!!!"
I took the pasta. It was LOVELY.
