~It's Just A Distant Memory: Gladion X Reader~

~Chapter Fourteen~

~(y/n)'s P.O.V~

"Come on out, Mr. Cuddly!" I said, while throwing out Mr. Cuddly's poke ball. "Deflect the attack, with Hammer Arm!" Mr. Cuddly nodded, before commencing its attack. Mr. Cuddly was able to deflect the Power Gem, that the UB had aimed at us. "Great job!"

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Gladion's shocked expression. "How... Did...?" "Yes, all of my memories are back. And, boy, am I glad to have them back." I could see Gladion sigh in relief. And, he was trying to hide his smile. He was doing a very bad job at it.

"Gladion, I'm going to repay you, for everything that you did for me, while my memories were blocked off. Mr. Cuddly, use Hammer Arm!" Mr. Cuddly went out, with my instruction. After a few Hammer Arms, the UB was on the ground. "Gladion, give me a Beast Ball!" Gladion quickly gave me a Beast Ball. I threw it at the UB. One... Two.. Three... Click. I caught the UB! I walked over to the UB, and, put the Beast Ball into my bag. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of you." Mr. Cuddly looked at me, sadly. "You did a great job, yes you did!" I said, while petting Mr. Cuddly. Mr. Cuddly smiled. "I'll have to give you something, later. Return!" I then returned Mr. Cuddly to its poke ball.

"So..." Gladion started. "Why do you think your memories came back, just now?" I started blushing, before answering. "I think my memories were blocked, because, I was afraid that you wouldn't like me back. And, somehow, not knowing, it blocked my memories from coming back. But, when you kissed me, it relieved me, and, showed me that you liked me. I think that relief was the key to unlocking my memories..." I said, my blush increasing with each word. Gladion didn't say anything. Did I just screw up?

I looked away, tears beginning to form. Gladion took me by surprise, by taking me hands, and, forcing me to face him. "I know now isn't the most appropriate time, but... Would you like to be my girlfriend?" I just stood there in shock, before responding. "Have you heard a single thing I just said? Yes! Yes! Yes!" I then tackled Gladion into the ground, with a hug.

"Maybe we should go back to Aether Paradise." "Why so?" I asked, while getting off of Gladion. "So, that we can analyze the UB, plus, make sure that you're doing okay." "Oh, okay. That makes sense." Then, hand in hand, we started heading to Aether Paradise. I'm freaking out! Why? Because, Gladion's my boyfriend. I bet I looked like a crazy person, to Gladion. He just looks so calm. I admire him, for that, being able to stay calm, at all times.

~Gladion's P.O.V~

I'm freaking out!!! (y/n) actually said yes!!! I must be the luckiest person, in the world!!! Of course, I wouldn't let any of these crazy emotions show. But, I sure am as happy as can be. And, not only that, but, all of (y/n)'s memories came back. This must be the best day, of my life! Okay, let's try to calm down...

(y/n) and I are now on the boat, that's headed to Aether Paradise. I realized that I was still holding (y/n)'s hand. Now, if this had happened a few days ago, I'm sure I would've freaked out. But, (y/n)'s my girlfriend. And, it isn't weird for a boyfriend to hold his girlfriend's hand, right?

As if (y/n) was able to read my mind... "It's fine, if you hold my hand. I don't mind." (y/n) said, while smiling. "Okay." "Come on, really?" "What?" "Can't you smile, just this once?" "It's not like smiling comes naturally to me..." "Come on, smile!" (y/n) said, while moving her hands up to my face. "What're you-" (y/n) cut me off, by moving the ends of my mouth up into a smile. I glared. "Oh, come on, you look... A bit happier." As soon as (y/n) removed her hands, I frowned. "Come on, can't you at least look happy, for me?" I sighed, before trying to make a smiling face. "Well... You did your best." (y/n) said, with a smile that said, 'Yeah, that didn't look even close to what I was looking for.' I groaned, in defeat.

After a while, (y/n) and I started to run out of things to talk about. So... I decided to do a thing. And, that thing so happened to be bringing (y/n) in, for a passionate kiss. (y/n) was taken off guard, but, did not fight back. In fact, she kissed back, with as much passion as I was giving. I was pure bliss. I love you, (y/n).
