Minori at Harajuku Station, November 2016
Minori is a Shinouri (meaning "painted white") girl who has turned herself into a human canvas for nature-themed fashion and art.
We met through mutual friends at Tokyo Fashion and have all hung out together a few times over the last year or so. People pause and freak out when they see Minori in Harajuku (where she is a minor celebrity) and she is always obliging for requests and demands for photos from strangers.
Even doing the most mundane things, like eating pancakes or getting donuts, takes on the hallucinatory quality of a dream or a drug trip when Minori is around. She punches a hole in normalcy simply just by being there.
