Monika and Sakura rushed out the door with their book bags. They raced to school, literally. Monika was faster, of course. Sakura fell a bit behind, and when she caught up to Monika, she was already in the hall at Sakura's locker.
"Damn you and your stupid training!" Sakura whined and pouted. Monika chuckled a bit.
"Yeah, sure. But if it's stupid, then tell me why you go? And if it's stupid, tell me why you aren't panting like a dog. Tell me why you caught up." Monika smirked.
"Yeah, yeah. We get it. Training can help... Sometimes. But I'd rather watch Alice in Wonderland any day." Sakura crossed her arms.
"Tch. You watch that movie 24/7. You're addicted worse than a druggie to cocaine." Monika also crossed her ams.
"How rude!" Sakura said, in her best English accent.
"I honestly can't tell if you're English or not, love." A real British accent said behind Sakura. Sakura gasped and spun around quick, she faced a girl wearing a blue dress and blonde pigtails. Her green eyes peered into the Japanese girl's brown ones.
"Hello, I'm Alice. I'm one of the new students here." She said. Sakura thought she looked exactly like Alice from her movies. Monika finally spoke up after the short silence.
"Sehr gut to meet you, Alice." Sakura only stood there and pondered.
"Oh, uh, I don't understand, um, German." Alice said apologetically.
"It's no problem, really. Few people in this... Place do." Monika said with a small smile.
"I said 'Very good to meet you.'"
"Oh! Thanks for translating. And, I'm very fond of this school. Everyone here seems nice." Alice replied, she looked a bit annoyed. She did since they met.
"Maybe she doesn't like us... But that would override what she just said." Monika thought to herself.
"Not everyone is so nice." Sakura cut in with a slight glare.
"Damn, that Brit isn't Alice at all. She's so rude!" Sakura thought.
"Really? Well, I've only met you... Oh! Have you met Matthew, Tina, Alfred, or Lukas yet?" Alice asked curiously.
"Huh? Uh, nein. We haven't." Monika said, silently wondering who the Brit was talking about.
"Hello, Mon Cherie!" Out of the blue, Francis walked up to them. Soon trailing behind, was Gilbert and Antonio. The three called themselves the Bad Touch Trio. They were the most popular kids in the school.
"Hello, love." Alice said, hesitation after "love", she was still looking annoyed but now she was acting shy when Francis came. Sakura looked at Monika and she looked at Alice and Francis. They soon made eye contact and Sakura nodded. Monika nodded back.
"Francis, how about you, er, show Alice around, ja?" Monika looked to the Frenchman. He nodded.
"Ouì. Let's go, Mon Cherie." Francis took her by the arm and began guiding her like a gentleman. Gilbert looked at Monika.
"Hallo, schwester! Does Francis like the new Brit?" He questioned her.
"Tch. Don't jump to conclusions, bruder. One, she seems rude. Two, they just met." Monika raised an eyebrow.
"Ja, but still! Love at first sight!" Gilbert shouted, trying to prove his point.
"Don't believe in those dumb lies, bruder. You won't get anywhere." Monika grumbled.
"... Feliciano." Was all Gilbert said. Earning a slap in the back of the head from Antonio, a glaring warning from Sakura, and a hard punch in the nose from Monika.
"We do not talk about Feliciano." Monika cracked her knuckles and walked away, leaving a bleeding nosed Prussian, a dumbfounded Spaniard, and a pissed off Japanese girl.
"You idiot, Gilbert! You know what happened between them!" Sakura whispered, careful not to set the German, who was still a few feet away, off again.
"Ja, ja... I was only trying to prove a point..." Gilbert mumbled. Antonio scratched his head.
"What happened between them?" He asked, curious. Sakura sighed. Monika was gone by now so she could tell the story.
"He left immediately after she asked him out a few years back. Nobody has heard from him since. A rumor has been going around that he moved towns hoping to never see her again." Sakura explained carefully, looking around to see if anyone was listening.
"Oh my... I thought he was a kind person..." Antonio whispered.
"Yeah, we all thought so too. But, sometimes people fake their personality." Sakura thought aloud. Just then, a blonde boy wearing blue jeans and a red maple leaf sweater with a strange curl on his head walked past, he was looking down and his glasses slid off a bit. He was being followed by a very loud American. He was shouting to the shy boy about "socializing" and to "let the hero help." Sakara grabbed the American.
"Leave the boy al– wait, have I seen you two here before?" Sakura switched topics from curiosities.
"Nope! The hero is pretty new to this city! The Canadian citizen is also new, dudette." The male American said. The shy boy mumbled.
"Shut up, Alfred. You're being annoying..."
He mumbled, but they both heard. The American, or Alfred, pouted. Sakura hugged him.
"It's okay, Alfie." Sakura smirked. Alfred blushed.
"D-Don't call the hero that!! Its unheroic!!" He shouted. The other boy, who Sakura didn't know the name of, laughed softly.
"So, what's your name?" She looked at him, puzzled.
"Oh.. I-I'm Matthew, eh?" The boy replied, making Sakura giggle at the little eh at the end.
"Oh, I have a friend who would love to meet you! Her name is Monika and she is German!" Sakura exclaimed cheerfully, she took their arms and walked to wherever Monika has gone. After all, they had thirty minuets before first period bell rang. Why not meet some new faces in Hell?
