School, to Alfred, was utterly boring. He fell asleep in almost all his classes. The only ones he didn't sleep in, was fifth period. When his teacher kept calling on him. The one, true reason he stayed awake, was because Sakura kept talking to him. He didn't mind the company. To be totally honest, he'd rather enjoy listening to Sakura talk about anything from Alice in Wonderland, from her Japanese culture. That's how they both learned that Sakura was the human personification of Japan, and Alfred was the human personification of America. Both, Alfred and Sakura were astonished.
"Moni-chan is gonna be hella pissed." Was Sakura's first thought, when she found out he was America. Alfred's thoughts were slightly different.
"Imagine Matthew's surprise when he finds out about Japan." Alfred sighed to himself and glanced at Sakura.
"She's so pretty... If only a dude like me could get a dudette like her." Alfred shook his head. They just met! She wouldn't immediately like him like that! Sakura looked at him and smiled to herself.
"I could be Alice, he could be the Mad Hatter." She sang in her head, from her favorite Melanie Martinez song, Mad Hatter. She sighed happily and continued drawing on her notes. It was the last period of the day, and she couldn't wait to meet under the Sakura tree her friends always went to after school.RRRRRRRIIIIIIIIINNNNNNG
That was the bell! Sakura jumped up, shoved her things into her backpack, grabbed Alfred after he finished packing up, and ran out the door. Alfred was pretty surprised at her energy, but realised that it was Sakura. Sakura sprinted to the tree her friends met at. Once they got there, Monika and Matthew were already chatting. Sakura only smirked.
"Lovebirds. Let's just not have it happen like it did with Feli." Alfred looked at her, then his facial expression changed from surprise to confusion. Sakura only shook her head, knowing he wouldn't understand.
"Nothing, Alfie."
Alfred blushed.
"I-I... I keep telling you not to call me that!" He shouted, making Matthew and Monika only simply look in their direction. Matthew was used to Alfred's volume, and Monika was used to Julchen screaming all the time. Sakura jumped slightly, Chun-Yan wouldn't get this loud, and Im Yong Soo would practically scream everything. Monika looked in the distance, and she saw Matthias and a blonde girl she didn't know running towards the tree. She simply said one word.
"Matthias."
Sakura jumped.
"Hell no!" She yelled, hiding behind her tall German friend. Monika sighed.
"What happened now?" She asked.
"Matthias was being a douche, so I insulted his beer. Now, he's gonna be rude." Sakura trembled. Monika facepalmed. Matthias approached the tree, holding the long, blonde haired girl's hand. He panted as the girl only giggled.
"Hi, I'm Tina! You can call me Finland!" She smiled. Monika internally grimaced. Sakura perked up.
"I'm Sakura. Or, Japan. Speaking of countries, Alfred is America, Matthias is Denmark, and Monika is Germany!" Sakura smiled as she pointed to each person and said their human and country names.
"I'm missing one–" Sakura started, but she was soon cut off by Monika.
"Matthew is Canada." She stated, gesturing towards the shy boy, who was half hiding behind her with Sakura. Tina giggled.
"So you guys meet here?... Unda da tree!" She made a reference.
"Please, not another Disney fan." Monika thought. Sakura jumped.
"Ahahaha! Ariel reference, "Unda Da Sea", right?"
Tina smiled widely.
"Yeah!" She high fived Sakura, making Monika roll her eyes.
"How immature." She scolded them mentally. Matthias finally got to thinking while Tina was distracted.
"Please, please not another Sakura. We have enough trouble with only one! Though, Tina is cute... Wait! No. I can't think like that. We just met. Maybe I'm developing a crush?" Surprisingly, Matthew felt the same with Monika, and Alfred felt the same with Sakura.
