I finally get my room assignment, about an hour after the whole introduction shebang. I check it, and it's number 5-6, and my roommate is someone named Becky Eagleheart. When I find the 5th dorm building, right when I walk in, some guy is walking out at the same time, so of course BAM we run into each other. I was about to say something when I looked at him, and then I completely forgot how to English.

He was handsome.

He had curly black hair that ran down to the middle of his neck, and it framed his face, which even after we had hit each other, still boasted a boyish grin, and above that smile was a pair of emerald green eyes. When he started talking to me, his voice had the faintest hint of a Irish accent. "Sorry about that, lass." Somehow I managed the miracle of speech. "N-n- no it's fine, it was my bad."

I didn't think it was possible, but that grin got even wider. "Well," he said as he stood up and offered me his hand, "I'm Will McLaughlin, and I think I'm going to like it here." I smiled nervously and told him, "Well, I'm Angie and- is everything okay?" After he had helped me up, he was still holding onto my hand and his eyes had grown wide. He gave a little chuckle. "Yeah, lass, everything's fine. I was about to go explore the campus, want to come with?"

Regretfully, I shook my head. "I still have to put my stuff in my dorm room." He frowned slightly, and I immediately felt bad. Trying to put that grin back on his face,  I asked, "So, I'm guessing this is your building, what's your room number?"  He smiled again, "Room 5." I let a huge grin spread across my face. "No way, I'm in Room 6!" He grinned back at me. "Well then, guess we'll be getting to know each other then. I gotta go, but see you later?" He tilted his head just a bit and looked at me. I gave him a nod and he nodded too and walked away. As he went away, I couldn't stop myself from looking at him.

I think I'm in love, I thought to myself.

I shook my head to clear it and I walked into the building. I walked along the hallway, clutching my duffel bag. Soon, I came to 5-6. Taking a deep breath, but at the same time wondering why the hell I was so nervous, I opened the door. To my surprise, my roommate was the blonde Black Widow fan I had met at the opening earlier.

Unfortunately, she didn't see me due to the fact she was laying on a bunk sobbing into her pillow. I rushed over to her and asked, "Is everything okay?" She turned over to me and hiccoughed. "Y-y- well, no. I guess I'm just a little homesick" I tilted my head questioningly. "But Becky, we just got here. I don't mean to be rude, but how can you be homesick already?" She glared at me through the tears, then her eyes softened and her gaze dropped. "I- I've been on the run for a little over a year."

I looked at her, the concern, I knew, clearly written on my face. She looked as old as me, but her eyes had a youth to them you don't see in most 20-year-olds. "Just how old are you, Becky?" She looked at me and whispered, "I-I'm only eighteen!" She finished this short statement with a wail and collapsed onto me. As I comforted her, I was shocked.

I had a similar situation myself, but hearing it from someone else, it just put it into a different light. I was supposed to be an anomaly, an exception rather than the rule. But here was another person who had been through hell. I hugged her tighter.

After a little while longer, she pulled away from and wiped her face. "You probably think I'm ridiculous, Angie." I shook my head sharply. "No, I don't. Believe me, I've had days like this too. You know, I was running away for 7 years? I was constantly hopping from city to city." She looked at me in askance. "You don't seem that old!" I chuckled. "That's because I'm not. I'm only 20." Her eyes got even wider.

I gave a bitter chuckle. "But this is a new place, right? We should try to forget the hardships we've been through and focus on now." Becky rolled her eyes. "Where the hell did you get that line? Doctor Phil?" We both started giggling, and pretty soon we were rolling around on the floor laughing so hard we weren't making any noise.

A/N: So what do you guys think about Becky? I know she seems a little vulnerable right now, but trust me, she is going to turn into a total bad ass. I hope you guys like Will! However, you're going to have to wait another chapter before you can get some more Angie-Will interaction. Sorrynotsorry mwahahaha!
