I turn around and run as fast as I can towards the howling without sparing the man another glance. When I get there the wolves have already retreated and there's a body laying on the floor. My heart is thumping against my chest and I'm terrified of who I'll see laying there but as I near the body I feel myself relax slightly but disappointment now fills my body. Laying on the ground is the alpha of the Red Moonlight pack, Brandon's father, I feel dread fill me as I see Brandon approach and he falls to the floor as he sees it's his father. It's all my fucking fault, if I would've confronted my problems then I wouldn't have traveled and I wouldn't have Trystan's former Alpha after me. Brandon's father would still be alive if it weren't for my ass. I turn around from the direction I came and ran as fast as I could tracing his smell.
-10 minutes later-
I've come to a clearing with a waterfall and he's just standing there with his back to me.

"Xiomara, it's nice to see you again. I send my condolences to poor Brandon, what a shame that his father died don't you think?"
"Shut the fuck up! I'm sick and tired of your shit, you just come back to ruin my life and I'm fucking tired of it!"
"Well then..." In a matter of a second he's in front of me and is holding me by the neck. "Why don't we end this right now."
He lifts me off the ground and I feel my air ways closing as I'm thrashing around trying to get free but his grip just tightens. I grab my gun from under my dress and shoot his leg, he lets go of my throat and I land on the floor coughing violently. He recovers surprisingly fast and lunches at me throwing a punch at my cheek and another one towards my nose breaking it. I'm about to grab the gun and aim but he kicks it away from me and throws a few more punches at my face and kicks me over my body. I'm panting and feel sore but he grabs me and starts pulling me. I manage to lift my head up and my eyes widen when I see where he's pulling me towards. I start kicking and he lets go but as I'm getting off the ground to run I hear the click of a gun and he shoots me in the back of my leg, my shoulder, and my other leg. I fall to the floor and he picks me up throwing me over his shoulder, he throws me in the water but I manage to get a hold of his shoulders pulling him in with me. We start fighting punches in the water, his obviously causing more damage. He goes towards my neck again and I try fighting him off but fail, he starts choking me and I start losing consciousness but before I do I grab the knife from before and aim it towards his neck before all I see is black.
Trystan's POV
I see they're retreating and go towards the howl I heard to see Brandon on his knees and clutching his hair, I'm about to get closer but I catch scent of Xio's smell and decide to follow it but bringing Nathan and a warrior from the pack to come with me when I smell the scent of my previous alpha. Shit Xio! What the fuck are you getting yourself into this time?! We're about seven minutes into the walk when a gunshot is heard and I start walking faster towards where the sound came from when three more gunshots are heard. I hear a splash and I go investigate towards the noise. I smell Xiomara's scent letting me know she was just here but my face pales when I catch sight of the gun at some distance and blood on the grass. I go towards the water where I assume the splash came from to see red and I immediately jump in to see my previous alpha, Alexander, with a knife in his neck and Xiomara unconscious. Thankfully Nathan jumped into the water after me so I signal him to grab Xiomara and I go towards Alexander since I don't think Nathan can carry him. When I surface Nathan is giving Xio mouth to mouth and I get pissed but calm down seeing as it's to save her. The warrior I brought along with me helps me get Alexander out the water then gives me a hand afterwards.
"Trystan she's not waking up!"
I rush over to them and kneel down to start giving Xiomara mouth to mouth myself. After about ten seconds of her not responding I'm about to give up but decide to go on for a few more times.
"Come on baby girl wake up. You can't give up now after we've been through so much. Please."
She starts coughing up water and I embrace her. She looks up at me and says,
"Did I kill him?"
"Yup, you did it baby girl."
She smiles and her eyes start drooping shut as her smiles falls and her pulse starts slowing down. I carry her and tell Nathan to shift so I can get on his back. He does as told and I put Xiomara down carefully before I hop onto him and he runs swiftly through the woods. We arrive at the pack house within five minutes and I get off Nathan before getting Xiomara and rushing to the pack hospital. At our arrival they rush to us and I put Xiomara down on a bed before they rush her into a room and I'm holding her cold hand all the while. We arrive at a room and they start connecting her to a bunch of machines. I caress her pale face and look up at the heart monitor but I feel myself go numb when the 'beeeeeep' erupts through the room. Without me knowing I'm being pushed out of the room and it's been a good ten minutes when I come to my senses and dial Branson's number.
"Hey Trystan, what's up? Have you seen Xiomara?"
"Uh...yeah. Listen, can you come to the hospital?"
"What's wrong, is it Xiomara?"
"Can you just please come? I'll meet you outside and tell you there."
He hangs up and I go outside waiting for him to arrive. He arrived in three minutes and we did a man hug before he asks me the question I've been dreading to answer.
"What did you call me here for? Where's Xiomara?"
"She's gone Brandon. My baby girl is gone."
Once those words came out my mouth my whole world goes black and I collapse my last thoughts being Xiomara and her smile. ___________________________________ Poor Trystan, I actually got a bit emotional throughout this chapter. How is Parker going to react to Xiomara's death and Margarret? Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter until next time!
