Maddie's POV

            I heard Louis yell Lacey's name. I whipped my head around to find Lacey unconscious, with blood dripping from her forehead.

"Lacey!" I yelled, and ran over to her seat. I helped Louis pull the safety bar up and pull Lacey out. I thought she could be dead, since she was as limp as a rag doll, but I could see her steady breathing.  We all carried her to the car and drove her to the hospital.

“It's all my fault, it's all my fault...” I could hear Louis whimper from the back seat. I was about to tell him it's not, but we were already at the hospital. Louis picked Lacey up bridal-style(A/N sorry, everyone uses that term...), and ran to the entrance. Now I have to say, almost everyone was staring at us. I mean, when does One Direction waltz into a hospital with two other random girls, one unconscious?!? 

        Liam ran up to the desk and told something to the nurse. She immediately dialed a number and a stretcher came into the room, and we placed Lacey on top. A few other nurses came in and helped wheel Lacey away.

"I'm very sorry, but no one is allowed in the room while the patient is in there without the doctor's permission. I'm very sorry." The nurse informed us, then walked away with Louis at her heels, probably requesting permission.

“That so did not work out as planned...” Harry admitted. Louis put up an argument, but she wouldn't let him in. I bit my lip. What would her strict parents say about this? Wait a second... What if-! I have no time to be thinking about this! I bonked my head and grabbed my phone out of my pocket.

"Who're you calling?" Niall asked peeking at my screen.

"L-Lacey's parents and Malena..." I trailed off, tapping Malena's contact. After she hung up in a hurry, I announced I was gonna call Lacey's parents. Louis seemed worried, maybe he already knew they were strict? I gave him a reassuring smile as I began to explain what happened.

              Lemme tell ya, if you have rich parents and you were in the hospital, your parents getting here ASAP wouldn't be a problem. Malena arrived a few minutes earlier and she was trying to calm Louis down. He slammed his fists against the wall, and I could see him fighting to keep his tears in. I heard heavy footsteps against the white tiles, and I knew who it was... (Play the video!)

"LOUIS AND MADDIE, WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!!!" Lacey's dad yelled at us.

Lacey's mom stared at me with a look in her eye that simply said, "We will make you regret this for the rest of your life."

"SHE WAS UNDER THE WATCH OF BOTH OF YOU, AND IF YOU DID A BETTER JOB, LACEY WOULDN'T BE HERE!!! DO YOU WANT ME TO SUE YOU FOR MURDERING MY DAUGHTER?!?!?! ISN'T THAT A SHAME, MY DAUGHTER'S EX-BEST FRIEND AND EX-BOYFRIEND MURDERING HER?!?!?!" he continued.

"E-ex?" Louis and I croaked out.

"Yes, you will both be handed over to the court and pay a fine or go to jail!" Lacey's mom threatened.

"H-hold on! You can't sue them! It was clearly the amusement park's fau-" Malena protested.

"So you don't think that the cause of Lacey's incident was because of the irresponsibility of these two?" she asked Malena, pointing at us.

"ALL OF YOU, LEAVE, NOW!" Lacey's dad yelled,"OR I'M CALLING THE POLICE!". We all scurried away.

               I couldn't stop crying, I was screaming uncontrollably, and Louis couldn't stop punching the walls of his room. I was at the lads' flat, and Malena stayed to discuss issues with Lacey's parents. The 4 lads all looked guilty and sad, and I don't even know about Louis. Why are her parents doing this? It's not our fault! My eyes were crimson from all of the tears I shed, and maybe I could shed some more.

Niall's POV

       I watched and listened helplessly, as Louis hit the walls or his bedroom, yelling, and Maddie, the love of my life, crying and refusing to talk. The rest of my lads were scattered in the living room, mostly feeling guilty like I was. Maybe if we were a little more responsible, or did something more mature than going to an amusement park, none of this would ever happen. The sight of Maddie looking sad made my heart break, but seeing her cry made me loose my mind. I couldn't do anything, so I just did what's best and I scooted closer to her, letting her cry on my shoulder. She silently accepted, and her screams muffled into my chest. I stroked her hair, and kissed the top of her head.

           Time went on, and nothing changed. The same noises as a few hours ago were still there. Maddie and Louis' screams, the banging on the walls, and the sobs. All of it made my heart shatter to a million pieces. I couldn't do anything... except for that...

Louis' POV

        Lacey...I'm so sorry... If only I'd been a better boyfriend to you, none of this pain would've ever happened... Why do I always mess things up?

            I messed things up with Eleanor, and now with Lacey. I promised her and myself to be the best I can be so our relationship can continue. But I screwed it up... Why am I so dumb? Can't I realize the best choice? Maybe her dad was right, I don't deserve Lacey... I can love her all I want, but I could never repay her for all the memories she's given me. With all of these thoughts in my head, I screamed and  hit the wall, letting my feelings out. At this point, I didn't really care if it hurt or not. I knew Lacey's parent's never liked me. What if she did die? I realized the possibility as my world crumbled.

Maddie's POV

                      I heard shuffling footsteps.

"What're you doing, lad?" I heard Liam ask.

"Getting a taco!" Harry said in an idiotic tune. No one laughed. I felt too heavy of a weight in my heart to express my happiness. I heard the microwave for a little while and Zayn and Liam joining Harry. Niall and I stayed put.

"Why don't you go with them?" I asked softly.

"I wanna stay with you." he answered, stroking my hair like it was a delicate piece of glass. I snuggled up towards his chest and I cried a little more, no screaming this time. Louis must still be letting his feelings out, it's been 3 hours. I kinda feel bad... I pretty much soaked Niall's shirt. But I don't want to leave his warmth... 

"Hey." he whispered. I looked up at him and he stared back at me.

"Do you want to go out tomorrow, just the two of us, to try to get things outta of our minds'?" he asked. I nodded and snuggled back into his chest, "That would be great..."
