Chapter 19 • A Chance Meeting
---------------------------------------------
The next day, I woke up and immediately took a shower because I smelled like paint, cause of yesterday's party. Malena had left to visit a friend in Las Vegas (so lucky!), and left me ALL ALONE in this house. Sigh. Well, I have soooo much time to spare so I might as well go to the mall... I walked out the door and hopped into my Ferrari. I noticed a few neighbors looking at it, well, DUH, who owns a Ferrari in this type of neighborhood? Just me, apparently. I turned the key and drove out do my suburb.
I walked into the mall, feeling anxious to get shopping! Malena rarely ever shopped for me, so this was pretty much my only chance to by new clothes. I just wish it wasn't so lonely shopping without Lacey, and my only other close friends were Kate and Ella, but they were more like me and Lacey and spent more time with each other than with other friends. I walked straight into Banana Republic, and my shopping spree began!
After shopping at so many stores that my arms were completely filled up, I saw the Apple store was selling the new iPhone, so I walked over and went inside. I pretty much had enough money...well, I had $200 and it costed $600, so I'd just have to find somewhere to work to gain enough money. I got the $200 from all of the money I had received since last year. Niall had given me $100 (for no reason whatsoever), and the other $100 was from my own savings.
I looked at the new super-cool iPhone, and as I turned my head back around I spotted Daniam looking at the new iPad. I really wanted to keep my distance from him, as I was having a bit too much trouble with the whole Daniam/Niall situation. I mean, I love Niall, and I love Daniam- wait, did I just say I loved him?!? Ugh, I need to MAKE UP MY MIND! I'm annoying myself and most probably him and Niall.
Sadly, because nothing ever really goes as planned, Daniam ALSO noticed me. Tough luck on my part.
Sigh.
“Hey, Maddie!” He smiled over at me.
I gave him my best fake smile back, but in my mind I was literally face-palming myself over and over and over again.
“Er, hi, um, Daniam!” I was hiding my face with the hood on my hoodie.
Best. Disguise. Ever. Not.
“So, Maddie, what brings you here today?” Daniam was trying to start a conversation, and I would have to go along with it.
“I'm just, ya know, looking at the new iPhone that came out. Hey, you now, I have to go now....”
“Really? Are you sure you can't stay a few minutes...?”
I was going NO where with this escape plan. And I didn't happen to have a plan B...
“Sure! I love hanging out with you!”
Did I literally just say that? Like, face-palm to the power of 2,000.
“So, where do you wanna hang out? Like, did you want to go eat in the food court, or-”
“Sure! I'd love to eat at the Sbarro- oh, sorry, if it's okay with you if we eat there...”
'Why am I blurting out random things?'
“Yep! It's totally okay with me if you want to eat there!”
Daniam is so sweet! OMG mind stop saying that! Even if it's true... SHUDDAP BRAIN!!!
Anyways, as we walked over to the food court, we started talking. I found myself really comfortable talking with him, especially because I don't have to constantly worry about the paparazzi showing up when I'm with Niall. I for once feel...normal. Nothing to worry about like when I'm with Niall. I can actually be a normal person, away from all of the celeb attention.
