I sit down at a table alone. I start to worry if my friends are going to be here today. I kind of do not want them to be here. Today is the day that we decided to play Truth or Dare at school today. Knowing them, they will make me have to talk to people and I do not really want to. Nevertheless, a dare is a dare.
"Hello Jo." Rachel said while sitting down.
"Hey Rachel." I smiled "Where is Eva?"
"She's on her way. Are you ready for today?" she laughs. She knows that I am not ready. She is the one who suggested that we would do this.
"Hiya" Eva screamed.
"Ow my ears." I yelled back laughing.
"Sorry, not sorry." That is classic Eva. She moved here from Spain in the fifth grade. That is also when we got Asao. That was a good year that year.
"Earth to Jo. Hello. Earth to Jo." Rachel waved her hand in my face. I then realized that I was staring out into space.
"Sorry. What did you want?" I asked.
"I said truth or dare." Rachel asked. Oh no. it can't be starting now. I feel like panicking. Oh no, oh no, oh no!
"I know that you will not like it if I choose truth so dare." I sigh.
"Really? You are not joking. You are actually going to choose dare? You promise" Eva questions.
"Yes I promise that I choose dare." I laugh.
"Yes she finally said dare. Someone call the press. We need, we need the news people." Rachel laughed. it kind of made me happy. To see my friends laughing and joking. I love times like these. When we are all happy and we feel like nothing can happen to us. It makes me feel true happiness. Not like the fake happiness that I show around other people in this place.
"Okay, Jo I dare you to put a note into your crushes locker." Eva giggles and Rachel laughs.
"You know that I don't have a crush. I have a boyfriend," I whisper loud enough for them to hear.
"Yeah. What is his name again? Henry? Harold? Howie?" Eva guessed. I know that they really do not like him. They say that I could at least find someone who would listen to me. I guess they are right though. I have tried to talk to him sometimes and I feel like it goes in one ear and out the other.
"His name is Harvey," I mumbled.
"Okay. Okay. I dare you to put a note into a random locker." Rachel bargained.
"That I can do." I smile a little. "I just have one question. Which locker do I put the note in and what is it supposed to say?" I hope they do not make me put it into someone that I cannot stand locker. That is all I need.
"Okay pick a number between one and a hundred," Eva asked.
"Forty-two." I responded.
"Okay that's your number, and it can say anything you want it to." Rachel replied. Well that makes it not so bad. I can just explain to the person that my friends made me do it. That sounds like a good plan really. I think that is what I will do.
"When do I have to do this?" I requested. I really need to know this. I hope it is Friday so I done have to see them the next day.
"Whenever you want, but one of us has to see you put it in the locker. Promise?"
"I promise." I promised them that. It is a simple promise that I know I can keep.
After that, the day flies by. My classes are easy today. It was small amount of notes. I cannot wait to get home and finish some art of mine.
