Scott's Pov

I woke this morning to find that I was not in the bed I was in when I fell asleep. I wasn't in a bed, actually. I was lying in a forest. There was still pain in my leg. I haven't fully healed, yet, and I don't know where I am. I sat up, then I heard a noise, looking around frantically, and I saw nothing. I inched towards a tree, and I heard a voice behind me, "I think it's best for you to lay there and die."

I screamed and ducked as she swung a jagged branch at me. I grabbed the tree that I was going to use to help me stand and stood. She grabbed my hair and slammed me into the ground. I groaned in pain and she threw me into the tree. I pretended to be passed out and she, I assumed, grabbed the branch, slicing into my skin. I heard her walk away and I opened my eyes to see her gone. I looked down and saw blood. My arms and chest were sliced by the branch, straight across. Something dripped from my face and I looked at the ground where she slammed me down. Blood. I turn to face the tree to get up. More blood. I wanted to cry, but crying wouldn't do any good. I had no idea where I was. I heard footsteps and got up with the tree's help. I will try to fight for my life, but I started feeling dizzy. I heard one calming thing before passing out, "Oh my god. Are you okay?"

~~~
I awoke to the sound of a crackling fire. I didn't want to about my eyes. I didn't want to see if what I thought was true. I heard a voice, warmer than the girl.
"Hey. Are you awake?"
I wearily opened my eyes to see a man who appeared to be around my age.
"You are? Good. What happened? That was a lot of blood and who are you?"
"I..." I managed before starting to breathe heavily.
"Calm down, you're fine." He said calmingly, helping me sit up, "I'm Liam or you can call me H."
I heard crunching leaves outside and grabbed his shirt.
"I would say there's nothing to worry about, but... We're in the middle of the woods."
"I-If I'm g-going to d-die." I stuttered, "Y-you at l-least need t-to know my n-name."
"You're not going to die."
"W-ell, my name i-is Scott."
"Scott, I'm going to protect you. I promise. I didn't waste my bandages on nothing."
Whoever was outside, broke the door down, into sharp, jagged pieces. I tensed and H laid me down on the bed. He grabbed a sword that was off to the side, that I didn't see earlier. Before he left the room, he made sure to get me comfortable.
I wanted to cry. I wanted to tell him to stay. I just met him, but I didn't want to be alone. Liam paused in the doorway, maybe assuming the worst. He looked at me, sadly, and I heard him whisper, "Maybe this time will be different."
I sat up by myself, even with my injuries, I wanted to help. I wanted to help fight. It seems my attempt to get up and move, might have saved my life. I rolled off the bed as an eerie midnight creature with very sharp claws and it swiped where I just was. It then disappeared and Liam ran in with his sword having a weird substance on the tip. I realized he injured the creature and he noticed me on the ground.
"You didn't die."
"I wanted to help."
"Good thing too."
"How...How long has this been happening?"
"A couple months. I didn't even know your name, but it was you."
"It's actually me, now not a copy."
"...A copy." H said going off into thought.
"H? Are you okay?" I asked a bit concerned.
