I laid back on the couch in my living room as I mentally went over everything Rick said today; the thought of thousands of walkers in one place making my head spin.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly pissed about being put on watch instead of being able to help draw away the herd, but taking into account what happened the last two times I was face to face with a herd, I get why. I just feel like I'll be stuck sitting on my ass rather than helping keep Alexandria safe, and that's the exact opposite of what I wanted to do.

I sat up, finger combing my hair before heading to the kitchen and digging through the box of food again.
I pulled out a small container of pudding before immediately dropping it to the floor as I heard a knock on the door.

I laughed at my own jumpiness, picking it back up and throwing it into the box before going over to answer the door.

I opened it to see a smiling Carol, holding a small Tupperware container up.

"I said you didn't have to make me anything!" I laughed as she put it in my hands.

"Well, I know last night was a lot for you-- for all of us really, and I never got the chance to check up on you so.." she shrugged as I opened the container, it filled to the brim with cookies, "It's also a thank you for what you did back at the armory."

I smiled, nodding back and feeling kind of speechless, "These look so amazing; thank you."

"You're welcome," she smiled before changing the subject, "So, why aren't you out shooting with Rosita?"

"We're rescheduling since Tara just came to and she wants to keep an eye on her for a bit," I shrugged, "Everyone's kinda shaken up right now so I didn't want to go around asking anyone else if they were available."

"Well, I'd do it, but it'd kind of blow the cover I have going on here," she snickered, looking out at the town around us, "But why don't you just ask Daryl? You two have been seeming to get along pretty well."

"You think he'd do it?" I asked, genuinely curious.

She chuckled, turning to walk off the porch, "Daryl would do anything to get back outside these walls."

I nodded to myself, taking out a cookie before sliding the container onto the table and heading out the door.

"Aaron, hey!" I called out as I saw Aaron briskly walking in front of me.

"Oh Liz, sorry," he said as he turned around, continuing to walk, "I have to go help with plans for directing the herd away."

"It's okay," I reassured him, "Do you know where Daryl is?"

He quickly nodded, pointing to a house in the distance, "He should be working on his bike."

I thanked him, letting him on his way, before heading over to the house he pointed at.

I stood in front of the closed garage door before rhythmically knocking on it.
Seconds later it was pulled up, Daryl standing on the other side of it.

"Hey, sorry," I laughed, "Aaron said you'd be over here so-"

"Nah, it's ok." He shook his head, going back over to his bike that was surrounded by miscellaneous parts.

"What is all of this?" I asked as I walked in.

"Don't want it to break down out there," he mumbled, taking a wrench to one of the parts, "'Specially with the herd."

I nodded slowly, not knowing anything about motorcycles, "Um, do you think, when you're not busy with your bike, that you could take me out shooting?"
