Wondering the Konoha streets at night was so calming to Kurasei. Of course, that was a lie. Being alone bothered her, and the silver haired man that watched her from the rooftops knew this too.
Kakashi was quite aware, that she knew he was watching, and in return Kurasei knew that he knew. It was as if they were taking a midnight stroll together, but apart.
"In what nature are you watching me?" She suddenly asked aloud.
"Observing."
"In what?"
"Admiration."
"You've been annoying your students, never on time are you dearest?"
"Well, I did learn from you."
This bought a smile to Kurasei's young face, before Kakashi complained about her apparent youth. "You make it seem as if you are my daughter or something." Realizing what he meant, the blue heads sixteen year old body became that of a mature young woman.
It didn't seem to make much difference, she was still young, and still short. "Why do you do that?" Kakashi asked, finally joining her. "Pretend to be some optimistic teenager?" She smiled, knowing he didn't like it when his close lady friend seemed younger than he is, by a lot.
"I don't want to end up like Gai, only speaking of youth instead of having it. You'd know all about that dearest," Kurasei smiled, gazing up at the moon.
"Do you sense that?" He asked her. There was danger, and chakra. As usual, Kurasei knew exactly what was happening. The one tails, the proctor, Baki of the Sand.
Alert, Kakashi began to make his way towards the trouble. Kurasei gripped his hand tightly, and Kakashi knew that his resistance was futile. As he had always done, Kakashi allowed Kurasei, and only Kurasei to pull his mask down gently.
"You were gone for a long time…" he trailed softly ad she touched his cheek. "Not long enough," was her whispered reply before they kissed, as the 'friends' had done many times before.
Kakashi had already forgotten the close by trouble. These moments with the girl before him had been missed very much.
It was too short, but it ended, and Kurasei took many steps back as Kakashi rearranged his mask. "I have to visit Kaira, and perhaps an old friend of mine. Then I have to go to tea with the seven tails, I promised her about three weeks ago, that I would."
The blue head grinned at Kakashi, who chuckled and shook his head. "You sure are odd, aren't you?"
Receiving a wink from her, Kakashi blinked quickly, and then Kurasei was gone.
She appeared in the hospital, which was positively empty at night. With her sixteen year old face returned the girl made her way to the empty front desk. "Kurasei?" A quiet voice spoke, and said girl spun on her heels to come face to face with Akane Zuka.
The seventeen year old had cut her long red her to neck length, and her bright blue eyes held tears.
Kurasei was angered to see this. "Stop that!" She growled at her best friend, stomping towards her. "It's been four years now Akane! You need to get over it!"
Her tone was gentle, but voice harsh. Kurasei was aware that Akane cried every night for Itachi Uchiha. "I'm trying," she began with great confidence. "But that's not why I'm crying!"
This made the blue head frown in confusion, before taking in her full surroundings. Strong chakra. How had she not noticed? Looming in the shadows behind Akane were two figures, who emerged with familiar grins.
"And you are supposedly the Calm and Silent Darkstar, Mistress of Knowledge, user of the Blue Midnight Technique. The greatest, and one of the oldest Jashinist that has ever lived since Jashin himself."
