Irina's POV
During the whole way none of us spoke. I kept looking out of the window. Jake kept looking on the front, smiling. I noticed he turned the mirror near me. I felt self conscious and brought it back to its original position. He looks at me and chuckles."What's so funny!" I yelled, already frustrated. It will be hard staying with him.
"The fact that the most dangerous girl of my school is uncomfortable" she said.
"Why do you call me that?" I smiled. I want to know whatever he knows.
"You're quite popular Miss. Perfectionist. I know many things about you. Now let's get going. If you don't know, I'm actually your stalker" he said casually. What does he mean he is my stalker! I hate you already!
Talking to me?
Nah, just go back to your nap.
Okay, bye!
And my brain sleeps.
He walked ahead of me and I follow him behind obviously. We got in a lift, alone. It is not safe Irina! This guy is your stalker! Wait! You're going to stay with your stalker. There was silence between us. The lift door opened and we got out. It was a long walk before we stood in front of double doors. I know this building very well. Only the VIPS get double door apartments. Does that mean Jake is a VIP? Damn!
He got inside first with my bag and I was again carrying my other two luggages. The entrance of the flat was simple actually. Two couches kept opposite from each other with two chairs on either sides. Between the whole couch and chair thing, there is a small coffee table in between and two passages on either sides of the living room. But the furniture is way too less.
"Umm...Jake, have you recently moved?" I asked leaving my luggage at the foyer area.
"No, I started living here when I started high school" he replied and then, smiled.
"You didn't answered me correctly by the way. What have you heard about me?" I asked. I'm also called the Demon Perfectionist of our school so I was curious to know.
"Well, I've heard on the first day of your martial art lessons you got beaten up but on the third day you defeated your sir who was a black belt. Interesting!" He said, grinning at me with amusement.
"It takes a skill of observation. Observe every detail of your enemy and you will win" I answered.
"A piece of your mind. How can I possibly reject it?" He said. I don't really know what do he means or what is he talking about.
"Jake. Can you please show me my room?" I asked sitting on my suitcase. I love to sit on a suitcase.
"Sorry. Totally forgot about it. Follow me" he said and walked to the left side of the corridor. It sure is a big apartment. The passage finally came to an end. He handed me a key.
"It's your room after all. I can bring your luggage if you want" Jake suggested but I shook my head.
"I'm quite independent to do my own work" I said.
"Well okay then" he said, ruffling his hair and went out. I sighed and unlocked the room. The room was amazing! In the middle of the room was a king size bed with dressers at either sides of it. There was a vanity table at one side of the room and two doors. The windows were full length allowing to the open balcony. I opened the window and embraced the breathtaking view. I checked the first door, it was a bathroom and it was big. I smiled and then checked the second door that was double door. It was a large walking closet. Wow! Jake sure has a wonderful room even for his roommate.
I know! How sweet of him. By the way good morning
Hello brain. How does it feels to be back?
Quite impressive actually. Just look how that guy had given importance to you and yet, his living room is so simple.
You're right. Wait! Do you think Jake cares for me?
Don't expect too much Irina. Sometimes the expectations are too high for it to be reality. I'll keep quite for now.
Bye.
Brain didn't replied. Meaning, it is not going to bother me for quite awhile.
I opened my door and found Jake with glasses on. He was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. He looked good actually. I blushed at the thought. Then reality hit me. What the hell is he doing out of my room!?
"Care to tell me what you need?" I asked tapping my foot on the ground. He chuckled.
"What is funny now?" I asked making an irritated face.
"You know I'm your stalker right? I was just watching you and I can say you liked your room" Jake smirked and how I wished to punch him.
"You know I hate you, right?" I asked. He leaned against the passage wall with crossed hands.
"Is that soooo?" He asked making me even more angry.
"Yes Mr. Stalker it is" I replied. He moved closer to me and unfortunately the passage is too small for me to even move behind. I was already touching the wall. He placed one of his hands on one side of me. We were only a little away.
"You do realise you are at my house right?" He asked. I felt very awkward so I pushed him aside and he didn't protest.
"I have some work so you go and do yours" I said walking out of the passage to the living room. I took my luggage and moved it to my room. I noticed it now but there are stairs that lead above.
"What are upstairs?" I asked myself.
"Oh! My room is upstairs. If you need anything you can come to me" Jake came from the passage and without bothering me, thank goodness that is, went upstairs to his room I suppose.
I sighed one last time and went to my own room as well. I have to arrange my belongings after all.
