Piece of Me

My morning started the way it did the day before; something I had no idea I was allowed to wear, makeup, and fancy lady hair. I was feeling so good about my second day that I had gotten up early just so I could already get a start on my third day. With some pep in my step, I made my way down to the mess hall to grab something for breakfast. Just like yesterday, I grabbed a muffin, only this time I was determined to eat it. It had just been baked and I could tell by the way the dusting of the sugar on top glistened in the hallway lights (and it was still warm). It was the most beautiful muffin I had ever seen, and I was more than ready for it. I was in the process of taking a bite when general Hux stopped me in the hallway.

"Ah, Dr. (L/N) glad to see your up extra early. The Supreme leader wishes to speak to you."

"But my muffin." I frowned

"No time for that-" Hux took the muffin from my hands and shoved it to a stormtrooper that had been passing by. "-Here Take this with you and do something with it."

"Yes, Sir!" shouted the trooper, taking off as if a bomb had been placed in his hands.

Damn.

The General gently took my arm and led me to a huge dark room with a long table in its center. He told me the meeting was to be private, and that after he'd be waiting for me in my office. I was trying to remain positive and not let the muffin and the meeting put a damper on my spirits. My day had only just started, many things could still go very right for me.

I took a seat at the front of the table. There were so many empty chairs, I had figured it didn't matter where I sat. Lost in my thoughts I nearly jumped out of my skin when a hologram appeared out of nowhere. It was of a humanoid looking alien and it gave me the chills. His skin was pale, eyes were a dull pale blue. I assumed it was Snoke.

"Dr. (L/N), do you mind telling me why Kylo cannot tend to his duties this morning?" he demanded slowly in a lazy like draw.

I crossed my arms over my chest and tapped my foot on the ground. "I'm Sorry Supreme leader, Commander Ren has not given me permission to discuss his stability with you."

"Foolish woman!" he practically screamed. "I am aware you slapped him with an eating disorder! He told me everything!"

"Well did he tell you about the part where he wasn't eating, or did he leave that out?"

Supreme leader Snoke swallowed his tongue. "No... No, he did not."

"I know what I'm doing and I know to you it seems "Foolish", but an eating disorder no matter what kind is a pretty serious thing." I preached. "I'd be willing to admit a misdiagnosis and clear him but he needs to prove to me that he's well."

"Kylo cannot have an eating disorder! He is master of the knight of Ren!" Snoke's voice reverberated.

I let out a small sigh. "But he's still human. I know you want him to be this big strong warrior but at the end of the day, he's just a man. The Supreme leader, he needs me and I would appreciate it if you didn't curse my name around him. It's me who's here for him... not you. He won't trust me if you kept slandering me."

Snoke's hologram moved closer. "Such audacity, You dare speak to me that way?! I'd mind my tongue if I were you or you're going to find yourself on the end of your practice, Dr. (L/N)."

"I don't mean to raise my voice, and I have nothing but respect for you. I just simply mean that you have quite the impression on Commander Ren, and if you have a problem with me, then he has a problem with me. I just need you to back off a bit... please?"

He closed his eyes and drew in air. When he parted his lashes his pale eyes were staring straight at me. I was waiting to be ripped apart.

"Why should I trust you? You're just a woman, as you know a woman's presence in the first order is most unwelcomed. I despise how much power I've given you over Ren. I brought you here to make him right, not undo all that I have instilled in him! You ask me to trust you Doctor, but answer me this. Why should I trust you?"
