Maya's POV
So..I made a new friend today and she was really considerate about me being deaf and for once I think I may have found a school where people don't judge me and honestly that makes me feel really great.
"So Maya you have any planes for the weekend?' she writes on my board. "Well, now not really what about you?" she smiles a big goofy smile like always. 'good, because we are going to see a movie' I look down at the board and smile "Aw..that's really nice of you Riley but I will have to ask my mom" she looks down sadly and then I lift her head up with a finger " but i'll try" she smiles again and we hug, when we hug I get this feeling in my stomach, it's kinda like butterflies but then I really never felt this way before.
'so what movie do you wanna see if you can go?' she lets go of me and I answer "Well I really like Blue is the warmest color"
'Oh my gosh really? I love that movie' she writes and I smile and we connect arms and walk off to our next class
