Chapter 1: The Beginning
A long time ago, 400 years before we have met are beloved guild Fairy Tail, there was a clan made of family and love called.... The Dragneel's. This clan was full of power. They were a clan of... Dragons. This clan brought the meaning of pride and family in one, the know there limits and there goal. What if I told you this clan had ended... ended with a blazing fire...
A red dragon with red scales and a light yellow underbelly paced back and forth. I thought the frist child was when you worry the most, I hope it doesn't die.. A female dragon with bloody red scales and black trible markings. Her head layed near a red egg, with black markings, surrounded by rocks.
"Stop pacing my love, the eggling will be fine." The female dragon spoke softly to her mate.
"I know but, I can't help but worry about it, you know how many egglings we lost." The male dragon said laying down by his mate.
"And you know I'm not fully dragon either Igneel" The female dragon spoke sadly.
"Nolia... I know that you were mipulated by your brother Acnologia to kill all those dragons, don't blame your self." Igneel spoke to Nolia almost like he was scolding her.
Crack~ both dragons snapped there heads towards the egg that was holding there pernicious eggling. Crack~ Nolia blew out the fire surrounding the egg, and watched intensely from the eggling to come out. Crack~ soon a piece of the shell slid off showing dark red scales with small trible markings on it. Igneel eyes shined see the eggling scales, while Nolia purred in delight. Soon more of the egg broke apart until it showed a baby dragon. This dragon had dark red scales, and black trible markings along its back with small horns as well, it's body structure was small but muscular, perfect shape for a runner. It's wings turned into a bloody red and had the signature markings on it. When the eggling showed it's face, Igneel gasped in suprise. The babies eyes were different colors, one was red and the other black, but that wasn't the biggest thing that caught them off gaurd, there was salmon jewels from above his snout all they was to his first horn. Nolia cooed at the eggling used her tail to bring him closer to her.
"Natsu~" She spoke pressing her snout on to the little dragons head, making it squeak in suprise.
Shaking out of his shock he looked at the eggling then at Nolia. "Why a girls name." He said childishly.
"You want to go against my wishes!" Nolia spoke Coldly.
Igneel shivered and shook his head. "No-o S-sweety..." She nodded in approval.
"He is the one Igneel..." Nolia spoke, breaking the silence.
"You mean~" Igneel tried to speak only for Nolia to snap her head and turn to him.
with tears brewing down her face she spoke sadly. "He is the one, to end the pain... the war..." she looked at Natsu and cried more. "The light in the darkest part of earth. He'll be the last sane dragon alive." she turned back to Igneel, making him cuddle into her. "He will live a painful life.." her voice cracked. "Oh Igneel, he'll experience something worse then... death." Igneel rested his head on top of hers.
"The road will be tough but he's a Dragneel, even know he'll have to kill Acnologia." Igneel spoke softly, not to make Nolia cry more. "He's the best of us." Igneel looked outside the cave into the darken woos, as the moon was shining high in the night sky, sheltering the innocent form the darken world. " The wars upon us. Zerif will protect him, after all this is his little brother were talking about." Igneel said sadly.
"Only the first years we'll spend with him. time will past and trust will break, I don't know if I can handle it." Nolia said suddenly but sadly, as well.
"the world will be dark~" "Run My boys, there here for you~" Nolia screamed to her sons, flames danced around her and were getting closer to her. "Find shelter..." her voice stopped as Natsu turned to his dragon form and flew towards her.
"No Mama I won leave!" Natsu screamed as he flew to his mother.
" Natsu No!" A black dragon shouted flying after Natsu, only for the a dragon to land and stop him. "Natsu!" " He'll probably forget us.." "I finally did it." A older black dragon spoke. " I have my brother back.." ...
"Father... I have brought Natsu back to life.." Zerif spoke to Igneel holding his brother in his arms. " He doesn't remember anything... he memories will come but he's to young." Zerif paused to see Igneel crying while looking at him and Natsu. " He's alive, to kill Acnologia... and I." Zerif place Natsu by his father. " His powers are~" "And the road will be dark." Natsu looked around to cave not to see Igneel at all. He wonder outside to find a white scarf and a letter. Opening the letter he, cried reading each sentence and line. Falling to his knees he looked a the full moon and screamed "DAD!" "But no matter what he'll find hope." "Hello there boy, what are you doing out here?" A man asked, Natsu. "I'm looking for my Dad." Natsu said as a cover up. "Well child, would you like a place to stay?" The man asked "Sure, my names Natsu. What's yours?" "Belserion." "Things may not seem what they are, on his journey." "What Do You Mean Your Not Real Belserion!" Natsu yelled at the man who just turned into a dragon in front of him. "I'm a spirit, meant to led you to your journey, Prince Natsu." Belserion spoke, with a sad smile. "Your the last of us Natsu... follow your path and always smile. For your the heir to the dragon kings thrown! now show me your ready to for fill your destiny!" He roared spreading out his wings, while Natsu lit on fair, an gave a massive dragons cry. "Bye Natsu..." Belserion looked away from Natsu and faded away, leaving the 7 almost 8 year Natsu alone. "But he'll find a place to call home.." "Welcome to Fairy Tail Natsu!" a little girl with short hair said, happily. " Welcome to the family." guild mates said to Natsu who was standing by Makarov. "But he'll always be our son." Igneel spoke proudly and sadly for the road that awaits.
"Once a Dragneel." Nolia spoke putting her snout on Igneel's.
"Always a Dragneel." Igneel finished, and watched as Natsu curled up against Nolia and slept peacefully. "The best of us." Igneel repeated and watched as his wife fell asleep as well. "The light in the darkness is here, but will the world be ready?" Igneel questioned looking out to the stars. "Many will try to burn out the light." Closing his eyes he felt the summer breeze swim in his scales. "Be ready world, the dark will fall and peace will come. Magic will flow, music will be stringed, for the dragon heir has been born."
