Chapter 10

One month later...

My mom is over the moon with me being engaged. But I haven't told her about me being pregnant. But it's getting harder to hide as a baby bump has definitely started to form.

She was so happy to be able to plan the wedding with me but when I said I wanted it at the start of next year she blew.

"What!" She screamed

"Mom I want a quite wedding not a big one. I only want family and close family friends." I said

"But we haven't got time! I haven't even met him!" She shouted.

"I told you he's busy!" I shouted back. "It's going to be a small wedding about thirty people at the most."

Yeah well that's the way our arguments went. Was left storming up to my room in the end.

It was the scan today and as I said about the baby bump forming let's just say I'm being a bit over the top it's a tiny bump. But I've started to panic a bit.

My mother was away to work and I was getting ready to leave when the door bell went. 'Ding dong' I ran down the stairs to face Niamh and Caitlin.

"Ahhhhh." They both screamed.

"What? What?" I said surprised.

"Your getting married!" Caitlin said with her mouth shaped like an O.

"I can't believe you never told us!" Said Niamh tapping my arm slightly.

"Yeah well I've been busy thinking about what type of wedding to have." I said

"Can we come in?" Asked Caitlin.

"Acutely I have to go to the doctors for a check up but what about dinner tomorrow night?" I said enthusiastically

They both nodded in agreement.

"We could leave you to the doctors?" Asked Caitlin.

"Yeah just let me grab my bag."'

I grabbed my bag and got in the car. We talked all the way down in the car and then I got out at the doctors.

I waved and with there the doors. I went to the reception.

"Hi I'm Lily Bradley. I'm here for a scan." I smiled

"Uh, Yes here you are have a seat in the waiting room." She smiled back

I walked in and looked around the waiting room had pale blue walls, a table with magazines and news papers on its, on the other side a play area for kids and dark blue sponge seats.

'DING!' The tv on the wall made a noise and the name Clodagh Fox to doctor surgery floor two room three.

A girl got up and left. I took a seat beside a girl about my age reading a book she was pregnant too. She looked up when I sat beside her.

"Lily! Hi I haven't seen you since high school." She said.

I looked at her oh God it was Leah from my old high school class.

"Oh hi Leah." I said

"What you doing here?" She asked trying to make conversation.

"Oh you know check up." I said "But I can guess why your here."

"Oh yeah I'm almost eight months. I'm having a girl." She smiled and rubbed he stomach.

"Oh well congratulations." I looked at her huge stomach.

'DING' Lily Bradley up to floor four room five maternity section.

The t.v. read.

I blushed and looked at Leah.

"Oh so it's a check up is it?" She asked playfully.

I blushed even more.

"I gotta go. bye." I waved and Wales away.

I walked up the corridor to a elevator. And waited for it to come Down.

It came to the floor I was at and I stepped in. I was by myself all the way to floor four listening to the boring music in the back ground.

I stepped out at level four and walk to room five and knocked.

"Come in" I heard a voice sing

I walked in and I was facing a bright yellow room with a bed and a screen hooked up to it.

"Hello." the midwife said cheerfully

"Hi." I replied

"okay so Miss Bradley. If you would like to lie down on the bed and we can see your baby."

I walked over and lay down.

"Okay I'm going to put some gel on your torso and its a bit warm." She said still smiling.

I stated still as she but the gel on and rolled the machine over my stomach.

"There we go and oh look there it is" she said happily as she pointed to the screen.

"I can't see." I said.

"Oh wait what's this?" she didn't sound happy anymore.

I felt my blood freeze and my heart race. My baby was it okay? I felt my self panic.

"What is it! Is it okay!" I shouted.

I was worried for my baby.

"Its just-" She said frowning.

"Is my baby okay?" Yes I had finally grew to love my baby and care too.

"I think you mean babies" She corrected.

"What!" I said.

I felt happiness flow through me.

"Your having twins!" She said happily.

"Where I can't see them!" I said jumping

"There's one. and there's the other one." She smiled

On the screen there was one little figure with tiny arms and hands and another with the same.

I didn't no what to say I was having twins!
