Chapter 22

“Is she going to be okay?" I didn't recognise the voice or I didn't know where I was. It was just black. Lifting my eyes felt like lifting weights with my eyelashes. I they wouldn't open. I panicked and jumped.

“Hurry! Hurry so we can monitor her heart rate!" I heard a man shout. “Are you a relative or close family friend, we need to find out as much as we can about this girl!" He asked I could hear but not open my eyes. “Be careful lifting her make sure you don't make any sudden movements you may send her body in to shock!"

There was a hustle around me I felt myself being lifting on to a hard bed. I felt pain rise up my spine. I was hurting again. The pain was excruciating. I screamed out for help. I just wanted it to end. I felt warm blood run down my leg... I should have that much blood coming out. should I?

“Where's the gas and air!" I heard a woman screech over the mayhem. “Okay I'm going to have a look down here." Said another female. “I-I can see the crown!" She gasped. “She's giving birth."

“We need to wake her! Get the gas and air of her she's having this baby now!" Said the woman who was looking for the gas and air. She walked over and put her hand on my head. “Okay. Hunny I know your awake but I need you to push for me okay? Give it all you got."

I looked up at her with my eyes wide open in shock. “I-I can't I'm not ready I'm only six months!" I yelped.

“If you don't push soon the baby's heart rate will fall." I said “Okay ready? Push!" She held on to my hand while I pushed…

45 minutes later…

The first baby came out but I didn't her him or her crying. One of the paramedics took my baby away with out warning.

“Wait I can see another head!" The women acting as a midwife said.

“I know I'm having twins." I said between pushes.

Then next baby came out only a half an hour later. This one cried and I was aloud to hold it. It was a girl. I wanted to know what the sex of the other baby was but they said to wait it was being checked. We drove to the maternity hospital and I was rushed into a private room. With out warning I started to feel light headed. I felt as if the room was closing in on me. Then I heard the machine go and doctors, nurses and midwives rushed in.…
