He fought against his bonds...all of this was insane—Frisk had died so they could make it to the surface! And this was how they treated them...like animals—like slaves? Frisk has assured them that this was the best course of action letting the soul extractor yank her soul from her body—she had been the only light they had down there and now they were left in darkness.

It had been ten years since that day—since Frisk freed them and they came above ground to what they thought would be their happy ending. But that was all a lie—had frisk lied to them on purpose, was this some sort of revenge for the harsh treatment she received at first. How they wanted to kill her? But they had changed their minds as she won them over with her determination and her heart.

Sans revolted no matter what owner he had. His body was pocked with scars on his bones old breaks that reknitted with each hit. His hands bound in gauntlets that suppressed his magical energy. Sans was prone to violent outbursts his eyes a constant flare of Cyan, he would gnash his teeth at anyone near him...humans considered him feral.

He didn't care, they took everything away from him...his freedom, his dignity, and the worst of it his brother. They were separated early on he hadn't seen him since. He was loaded with a few other monsters he didn't care to know their names into a cattle truck and hauled into town. This was Sans last chance he had been brought back several times changed hands too much. So if no one wanted him this time he was dead meat...

He didn't even care anymore—it was hopeless to ever find his brother again, any of his friends. Hell they could all be dead and the only ones to blame were these damn humans...their numbers had exploded over the years while they were trapped down here. The monsters were the true minority—the several hundred that spilled from the bowels of the earth had been subdued easily and enslaved in what felt like overnight. Sans had fought back—but the wounds were evident of that fight.

He shuffled to the back as some of the more tender monsters, the younger ones huddled together. This was their first auction, he felt for them—but then again this day and age it was better to look out for yourself. In this world it was survival of the fittest. Plopping down on his boney ass he hissed in frustration hiding his face from the others who softly tried to offer comfort to one another or worriedly chattered no to one that everything was going to be fine and so on and so forth.

The door slammed as the humans with the blank expressions locked them up and walked off the truck fired up next and then they were off. It was fall or autumn depending on who you asked...either way the air was bitter this early in the morning though skeletons didn't feel cold like other monsters did. He looked out the small holes cut into the side of the truck—watched the outside world flow past him as they got moving. The trees blazed a brilliant red and orange—vibrant yellows and lime greens make the trees look as if they were alit with their own special magic. It was sort of comforting to watch the scenery past by the deep rumble of the trucks engine accompanied by the odd sort of stunned silence that enveloped the truck as they saw the town come into view.

The truck jumped and bumped over the uneven surface of town—the cars out in the early morning commute made the trip last a little longer. Humans were gearing up for their holiday season...this strange custom of Halloween was thick in every aspect they did. Decorations hung in windows the color orange and black dominated every surface. Small humans—children would run around dressed like, what else, but monsters and terrorize neighborhoods for candy...disgusting...racist.
