Chapter 12

Well as I wait for the tornadoes and hail to move into town I think this will be the perfect oppertunity to post a new chapter if not getting struck by lightening in the process...so here we go!

Sans head whipped to the shadow, the girl had been in perfect step behind him. She must be some lab technician or his right hand worker. Sans has no idea but she clicked a button on her lapel of her lab coat and spoke softly into it.

"Start with cleanup."

"Clean up?" Sans hissed then looked to the screen as he saw movement. Someone came out and knelt by Rose who began to stir...his hard expression fell in sudden realization...he was watching a live execution...

Where was she? Rose sat up as she heard the scuffle of feet on the loose soil underneath her. Turning her head to follow the retreat of a male form as they rushed through a heavy metal door that crashed closed behind him and a lock engages. Rose got to her feet. Heart rate through the roof she looked around wildly no one was around—the massive pit she was in seemed to be at least twenty feet dug into the floor—above was some seating...was she in a fighting pit?

"S—Sans?" she was shaking she refused to move from the center of the ring.

Her heart stopped when she heard whimpering—the walls were studded with cage doors...and one directly in front of her held a whimpering form...she took a step back eyes darting around for some sort of weapon to find nothing to use to defense herself as a figure was forced out.

A skeleton. "Papyrus..." the word left her mouth before she knew it.

"H—human...how do you know my name?" he looked at her shocked cradling his arm was he hurt?

"Sans—Sans was with me...he was looking for you we were looking for you!"

"Sans is here?" His hand went to the collar around his neck—a thick black oppressive clunk— "You need to get out of here human...now."

"W-where can I go?" she looked around shocked Papyrus looked ready to freak out—she gasped when she saw his eyes spill over with orange tinged tears. "Please no more—no more killing please." He grabbed his head and that's when she saw his arm...

"P—Papyrus?" Rose was a nervous wreck she saw his arm tiny needle holes—some had web like cracks from them...one in particular was still dribbling an orange substance...was that his blood?

His whimpers suddenly turned into snarls and growls as something started to change...

Sans roared at the TV as his brother's familiar form started to twist and snap into different shapes he was turning into a vaguely blaster form....the face was there it was part of his magic he could summon them—a siring blast of energy could be launched for the mouths. He only used them when he was in dire straits...it used a lot of energy—but this summoning was taking place in Papyrus's body—not separate like Sans could do...

He struggled against his restrains watching as Papyrus swelled before his eyes on the screen—Rose wouldn't even come up to the blasters elbow. The girl panicked as Papyrus gathered the energy it needed to expel it from his mouth...

"NO!" Sans screamed as the blast was unleashed and washed Rose in a white hot light to vaporize in an instant. He managed to break his restrains free the chains clattered to the floor both eyes were blazing blue the one long dormant crashing to light. Blue tinged vapor left both sockets as he jerked the manacles apart they shattered falling to the floor. He rushed the cage bars only to be lashed out by a magical barrier.

The doctor was smirking giving him a sidelong glance the girl with him seemed startled as she stumbled back from the cage. Sans was blown back but soon got to his feet for another attack. He did this several times till he was panting on the floor.
