She made sure the folder with the papers was in her satchel before they left that evening with a few quick goodbyes they were soon out the door and out into the street. Sans was still pissed Toriel convinced him to put on the "shock" collar. He was walking behind them all as Ara led the way home. She glanced at her watch as Toriel kept her eyes downcast but alert for any sort suspicious movements.

Ara car was unreliable. It worked when it wanted to and Ara was slightly envious of the fact. There was no way she could ever hope to have a life that laid back. She shook her head at her own mental joke and stopped at the cross light. The City was your typical urban mess—when you lived in a poor neighborhood. People watched her from stoops—the bars on the windows and gates around front entries to stores and homes gave a definite oppressed feeling. It didn't matter who you were or where you came from if you were seen with monsters it was seen as a status symbol and that meant you were a target the more you had the larger that bulls eye was on the back of your head.

That's when she heard her brother David—they must have gotten off school early...

"Leave her alone!"

"Make me you little shit." The older man barked with laughter he had her Abagail's backpack. He had a split lip. Ara felt her blood boil...

"Shit." She snarled and handed Tori her bag and rushed forward. She didn't care that there were several large men messing with her siblings.

"Hey!"

They all turned to look at her then laughed. She frowned. "Stay the hell away from my family."

"What are you going to do about it bitch?"

Toriel growled summoning her magic and stalking towards them threateningly. "Leave them be now—I do not wish to harm you." The flames flickered angrily in her palms.

"Oh you got monsters huh..." the skinny punk looked up watching them approach. He wasn't fazed by any of it.

Sans had no links to Ara and her family—but he did with Tori and he would make sure nothing happened to her. His eye flashed blue as the other disappeared. He grabbed the skinny punk in blue magic and jerked him into the air. When he called out Sans smirked.

"So you like picking on people who are weaker than you—Small world—so do I." Hand held up on an outstretched arm the punk hovered ten feet into the air as Sans suddenly jerked his hand down the kid slammed into the concrete face first—the sickening crack made the kids scramble away shock painted their faced pale as they collided into Ara who gripped on to them as if they were a life line.

The other punks who wanted to mess with them darted off not wanting to suffer the same fate as their friend. Sans let the injured kid struggle a moment before releasing him as he scrambled up and darted away.

"What a Jerk..." he snorted. Papyrus was silent wringing his hands and Toriel was giving him a sad look. Ara and the kids looked horrified. "What?" he asked.

"Nothing Sans—let's get home." Ara gave a small nod towards him as the kids broke from her squealing happily for Tori. The trauma of a few moments ago suddenly forgotten.

"Ah children I am so glad you are not severely harmed!"

"Tori that mean man stole my lunch money." The Abagail whimpered burring her face in Tori's purple clad shoulder as she was scooped up. David puffed out his chest and spoke up next. "I tried to fight them off but there were too many of them."
