I felt instant guilt as soon as we crossed our clans territorial border. I had never done this before, but a comforting feeling came to me when a thought crossed my mind. Whatever... it's not like my parents never hide secrets from me and my brothers. Our alpha never told us the reason why the clans split, about his family, or even why I look so different from the rest of my clan. The only pack-member I resemble is my brother Ducho.

Before I knew it we were at the other clan's border. I spot some alphas pacing back and forth. Wait... I thought there was only one alpha male and one alpha female for each clan? There where two alpha males right next to each other. This doesn't make any sense.
You may be wondering how I can tell that they are alphas. Wolves have keen senses of smell. We can even smell what they ate last week. Different ranks in wolves eat different parts of their prey. I can smell the parts of the elk they ate last night, therefore I knew their ranking.
I flicked my tail in excitement. We''ll head down this trench and try to get to the back of the camp. My brothers nodded simultaneously and we got into our stealth crouch. Silently we sprinted to the back of their camp. We saw that this camp had a alpha-boulder as well. Alpha-boulders are used by the alphas to make important announcements to their clan. Soon Ducho, Cauce and I noticed that this clan was huge, at least four alphas, seven pups and way more that were out of my scent reach. Ducho and I looked at each other, there was one female that caught both of our attention. I have no clue why, but things happen for a reason, and I had a feeling we would find out... She had a feather connected to one of the furs on her neck, and was a light shade of fawn. Cauce soon began to loose interest and wanted to alert our clan about the new findings. While Ducho and I were intrigued by the clan's mystery.
It was getting dark, and by now Cauce had already headed back home.

Ducho was feeling on edge, for some reason we couldn't leave our hiding place, we just had to find out how we were connected to this she-wolf. But as I saw the moon rise above the hilltops, I began to worry.
My clan all gathers together to howl at the moon at this time. As I glanced back at the other clan I realized that they were beginning to gather, and howl at the moon. A cold shiver ran down my spine when I saw that this clan had the same traditions as ours. I was always told about how our clan was much different from the others. Had my whole life been a lie? I nodded at Ducho and we began to head home.
