Chapter 1 ~The Dream~

MEGAN'S POV

God could Leigh take any longer to get ready? the dance started a half hour ago! Leigh is one of my best friends, I've known her since kindergarten.  "Hurry up Leigh!!!! were late as it is!!!!!" right as I finish talking my worst nightmare walks in... Marcus. As much as I love Leigh, Marcus is a pain in the neck, he was her adoptive brother, he is a total idiot but he has a few lovable qualities, they're just not obvious. "Howdy darlin' " he said mocking my accent god i hate him " what the hell do you want Marcus" I said crossing my arms. He sat next to me and pulled me onto his lap, intentionally ignoring me he said "you're lookin' hot tonight" he complimented me in his own disgusting way and before I knew it he was leaning in to kiss me and wow I actually wanted to kiss him, what the heck!? "MARCUS?!?!" Leigh saved me from myself at the right moment. Marcus flinched and banged heads with me, I quickly got off his lap rubbing my head " smooth one Casanova" "God Leigh way to ruin a moment" Marcus said pissed that his sister ruined his shot "I am sooo sorry. I really didn't mean to walk in and see my brother trying to kiss my best friend" Leigh said, the sarcasm lining her voice, this was the perfect moment to get back at him. "Leighanna!! my savior!!! i almost kissed...it" I dramatically started to fake sob on her shoulder, I looked back at him just to see that he was dumbfounded. Leigh started to crack up "well are we gonna go? the Sadie Hawkins awaits!!!" she ran out of the room like a dork and I was about to follow her but I stopped. "'l'll be right there" I looked at Marcus he looked like he was gonna cry so I sat next to him and put my head on his shoulder. "what do you want Megan?" he sounded angry, I grabbed his hand. " I'm sorry that you cant go to the dance" I sighed "don't be mad" " too late love"part of me wanted to just be mean and walk away but another part wanted to comfort him, iI just decided to be flirty " oh really?" I looked at him and leaned closer our lips inches away "yeah really, that hurt" he started to ramble on and on about how much i hurt him, I rolled my eyes "shut up and kiss me fool!" he just stopped and lunged at me kissing forcefully.

I shot up in my bed freaking out!!! " oh my god oh my god" it was a dream! "ugh! I'm officially going insane!"

Marcus's POV

The next day at school i told Xander all about this crazy dream i had "Wait? you had a dream about making out with Megan? Aka the ex of mine that i've been working so hard to get back?" he said starting to get pissed off "yeah, dude don't be mad! I don't like her like that! shes my sisters bet friend, she like a little sister to me!" he started to calm down but that was probably because Megan was coming our way "OK but if i see you hitting on her your dead"

Megan's POV

"Ugh! really your havin' dreams 'bout gettin hot & heavy with Marcus??" Mariah joked, Mariah was the best friend that everyone loved but everyone hated, she was a total brat but we all are sometimes."1st ew I know right! 2nd kissing isn't hot & heavy! " we kept walking "speak of the devil" she said noticing Marcus talking to Xander, Xander was my ex we had a serious relationship and it didn't end well. That's weird Xander is smirking, oh well. I started to walk past them when Xander grabbed me by the waist and pulled me towards him and i shrieked"Morning gorgeous" he said in my ear. "God Xander! give me a heart attack why dontcha?!" i said irritated "Hey idiot! let go of her and go find some other chick to mess with!" ah Mariah always the outspoken one, Xander smiled and let go of me "good to see you too Mariah" she just glared at him, i smiled at her tiny body so angry at this giant "Mariah go on to homeroom i gotta talk to Xander" "fine but you leave out details-" Marcus interrupted with an abrupt "go away!!!" she stormed off fuming. I turned around to look at Xander "whatcha need darling?" he asked laughing at Mariah "an explanation! you act all angry towards me, and then all of a sudden you hug me all the time, you treat me like I'm the most perfect thing in the world, and your being nice to everyone i know, heck! your being nice to Travis! you hate Travis!" i screamed the last part and it sounded a bit harsh. "and that would be my cue to leave... maybe Mariah wants to make out" Marcus said while rushing away "i want you back, simple as that, but I know that you wouldn't take the same rude version of me...so i changed. I changed so you would approve of me" he said solemnly...
