Chapter 11 - YOU'RE MY MATE!

A/N: Hey guys :) Sorry I haven't updated recently I have been sick and working a lot this week as well as having a heap of school work to do. I hope you can forgive me.

1 week later...

Carlisle's P.O.V.

"WHERE ARE YOU?" I screamed looking down at the photo of Willow. 'Give up. You'll never find her,' a small voice taunted within my mind. "I will find her. I can't give up."

I glanced at the photo one more time before placing it down on the table. I stood up and made my way outside to where Alice and Edward were waiting just like they had been for the last week.

"We have to find her...TODAY!" I declared angrily as they made no attempt to get the items we needed for the day. They jumped slightly and I feel guilty. Ever since Willow went missing I have been a monster, constantly shouting or bitting my families heads off.

"Carlisle... its okay we understand that you miss her. We do too and we really are doing all we can to find her," Edward told me gently obviously having read my mind.

"I'm sorry," I whispered and they just nodded before jumping into the car.

"Come on, Grandpa!" Alice teased causing a small smile to become etched on my face.

"I'm coming," I huffed jokingly and as soon as I was in the car we were off.

Dominic's P.O.V.

I looked down at her tiny frame curled up on the cold, hard cement floor and all I wanted to do was wrap her up in my arms. She started shaking slightly and before I could stop myself I placed my jacket over her, hoping it would warm her up. She clutched onto my jacket and snuggled up under it.

Just as I turned to walk back out the door I heard a small, hoarse voice speak up, "Thank you." I spun around to find Willow sitting up with my jacket wrapped around her shoulders.

"I can't let you die, at least not until Kayden is back," I muttered avoiding eye contact.

She looked down in thought and I decided it would be best if I left.

Willow's P.O.V.

I looked down wondering whether I should ask him. I glanced up to find him once again walking towards the door and that's when I finally made up my mind.

"Why am I here, Dominic?"

He froze and his breathing hitched.

"Dominic?" I urged, "Please... tell me."

"It is my mission."

"What mission?"

"Mission Alexander."

"Mission Alexander?"

"Kayden the leader of the Dolkin Clan wasn't happy when I let you go and his way of punishing me was to give me Mission Alexander. The mission is to kill you, just like we killed your family."

I stayed silent for a few minutes after that. I was trying to process what exactly Dominic had just said.

"Punishment?" I whispered looking up at him.

"I shouldn't have told you any of that," He stated angrily. I flinched from his tone even though I knew he wasn't angry with me. He was angry with himself.

"Why did Zachaeus say that you were lucky to get me?"

"Because..." He hesitated and I knew that what he was about to say was a lie, "You're weak. He just meant that I was lucky to get such any easy mission."

"Liar," I muttered.

"WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?" He yelled completely snapping.

"I SAID YOU'RE A LIAR. WHY DON'T YOU BE A MAN AND TELL ME THE TRUTH!"

"OKAY YOU WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH! I DIDN'T KILL YOU BECAUSE YOU'RE MY MATE!"

I gasped and I saw the anger drain from his face and soon he was as pale as any vampire I had ever encountered.

"What do you mean? I can't be your mate. I'm Carlisle's and he is mine."

"That's only because your wolf thought I rejected it. Your wolf decided to move on and forget about me but if I were to dig really deep I would be able to find the love your wolf has for me."

"NO!" I screamed, "YOU'RE WRONG! I COULD NEVER LOVE YOU! YOU'RE WRONG! YOU'RE WRONG!..." I kept repeating those two words and not even a minute later I was pinned to the wall.

"Shut up before I shut you up myself."

I went to argue with him when all of a sudden...

Carlisle's P.O.V.

I felt a sharp pain go through my chest and I fell to the ground clutching it. It felt like someone was ripping my heart out and before I knew it, it stopped.

"Carlisle, what's wrong?" Alice asked kneeling next to me.

"I don't know. It was like my heart was being ripped multiple times."

Alice looked over at Edward worriedly and I started getting mad.

"What?!?" I demanded and they both looked over at me with sympathy.

"She's rejected you."

I felt the pain once again and I then remembered what I had learnt about a vampire and its soulmate. Just like werewolves when our mates reject us we experience a great bout of depression and pain.

"Why?" I whispered, hot tears falling down my face.

Dominic's P.O.V.

She went to speak and I did the only thing that came to mind. I smashed my lips against hers. I felt her struggle against my hold for a few seconds before her wolf took over and kissed me back.

"Mate!" It called happily. I couldn't help but smile. She recognises me.

I pulled away after a few more seconds and Willow's face was covered in horror.

"NO!" she yelled.

"Yes," I whispered trying hard not to scare her anymore.

She tried lunging at me but I dodge her advance just in time. She tried lunging for me again but this time it was her wolf that saved me. Her eyes turned yellow and I knew she was no longer there.

"You may be my true mate but I will never forgive you for what you did to my family," Willow's wolf stated using her voice instead of a mind link. I looked down guiltily before feeling an excruciating pain course through my neck. I snapped my head up and saw that Willow had once again taken control.

Willow's P.O.V.

My wolf took over as I tried to lunge for him. I wanted to scream at her. How could she reject Carlisle for him? Dominic killed our family.

'HOW DARE YOU?' I finally yelled at her.

'I HAD TO. HE IS OUR MATE, OUR REAL ONE.'

'I DON'T CARE."

I managed to gain control again and when I saw Dominic I knew this was my opportunity. His head was down leaving his neck in clear sight. I lunged one last time and managed to just clip his neck. His head snapped up and I snarled at him.

"You will never be my mate," I stated coldly.

"We'll see about that," He responded and within seconds he was out the door leaving just me and my wolf in complete and utter silence.
