"(Y/n) does not eat properly."

Gosh darn it! I've had this kid, (Y/n), in my cabin for a couple of hours. I'm going to tell you right now, he refuses any sort of support. Against my wishes, he keeps sneaking out into the sunlight while I'm making his costume. I swear, the survival game before this made him the most stealthy thing in the world. He could be sitting next to me and the only way to know he's here is by his warmth. Somehow, he can hide his presence. As a result, I'm leaning against the front door, the only one, of my little cabin. "Eat!" I called.

"I'm full though!" he responded loudly.

"Lies."

I sighed in defeat, knowing he's not going to eat properly. "Who protected who?" I called, referring to the previous survival game.

"I protected her," he called back. I sharply rolled my eyes.

"Come here!" I called. I waited, jumping slightly when something fell into my lap. "Really?" I asked when I noticed it was (Y/n).

"So I see you finished it!" he hummed happily, disregarding my response.

"Yeah, I did." The costume was snatched from my hands. I waited for a couple of minutes before I heard a loud shout.

"Transform!" (Y/n) shouted loud and clear.

"Yeah? Well, transform out of that costume."

"Huh?" (Y/n) gawked. "Why?"

"I have a little something I need to do."

(Y/n) P.O.V.

I quietly walk behind twelfth, tilting my head from side to side. It's dark now, the perfect time for sneaking around. As we're walking around, I quickly notice police cars parked around the area. I gasp as my phone vibrates in my pants. Twelfth stopped and turned to face me in response to the vibration.

"Your diary's telling you something?" twelfth asked in a hushed voice.

"Yeah." I pull out my phone and flip it open.

Ninth is near. She's wounded.

"The ninth is near," I said, looking around. "She's wounded."

"Of course she's wounded!" twelfth laughed. "She got stabbed in the eye, didn't she?" My phone vibrated once again. I was quick to check what it said.

Police men around the corner.

"There are some police men around the corner," I told twelfth. He nodded his head and continued onwards. I quickly followed behind. After a couple of minutes, we were coming upon the corner of a street when we heard shouting.

"Hey!" A male's voice shouted. "Stop! Hold it right there! Young lady, did you not hear me!" Following the silence of the voice was loud, quick footsteps. I looked at twelfth to see him smirking.

"Let's go," he whispered. We carefully followed the police man that was chasing the girl we were looking for, me sitting on his back as I whispered directions into his ears. I whipped out my phone the second I realized that the officer had lost her. I quickly redirected twelfth, whispering the directions my phone had given me. We reached her in no time.

She sat, slumped against a large, white rock. I watched as ninth turned her head in the direction of a fence, one of the few things blocking her from the police. She took out her phone and glared at it. "What the hell's wrong?" she hissed at the phone. "You're supposed to be an escape diary you worthless piece of junk!"

I hopped off of twelfth's back and we calmy walked up to her. She noticed us very quickly. "Try not to make any noise," twelfth said in a calm voice, completely aware of how close we were to the police on the other side of the fence. "Are you able to move?"

Ninth turned her head, looking to the side for a minute, before standing abruptly. "Don't even try!" she hissed, clearly about to fall. Twelfth caught her before that happened though.

"Everything is alright," twelfth said in a soothing tone. "We're here to help you."

"Sure you are," ninth grumbled, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Who sent you?"

"I'd look at my options if I was you," twelfth hummed, completely ignoring her question. Besides, if he told her who sent us, this entire mission would be over. Ninth grumbled a small fine, clearly not okay with this. I quickly gave her support as twelfth and I lead her away deeper into the forest in the direction of twelfth's cabin.

I pull up a chair next to ninth. She's lying in twelfth's bed, who is currently getting some pills and water. For the first time in almost two hours, she opens her eyes. She groans loudly as if that would do anything. As if waiting for that to happen, twelfth walks in, a cup of water and a bottle of pills in his hands. I look at his bagged head, wanting to laugh at how ridiculous it is that we're wearing paper bags on our heads.

Twelfth walks up to ninth, placing the pills on the bed and placing the water on his bedside table. "Something for the pain," he explained. "I recommend it too, in your case."

"Why are you doing this?" ninth asked, completely ignoring the pills. "Who are you guys?"

"Who am I?" twelfth chuckled. "Oh, let's just say I'm a samaratin of sorts. And he," twelfth said, gesturing to me, "is my pupil."

"You should pay attention to who you save," ninth sneered at us. "Your karma might get screwed up."

"Huh," twelfth said with a thoughtful tone. "I like that."

"What?" ninth growled.

"I'm actually an instrument of karma," twelfth said in a matter of fact tone. "Your karma."

"Weirdo," ninth hissed. "You will regret this, I promise you."

"Let's wait to stack our regrets in comparison till everything is over, huh?" twelfth chuckled.

"Whatever," ninth huffed, grabbing the bottle of pills and taking some. She slammed her back down onto the bed after she took the pills. Too bad she didn't read the contents. She pulled out what she believed to be her diary and made the motion people do when flipping a phone opened. "Why hasn't anything changed?" she whispered. "Am I safe or what? Talk to me!"

I didn't have to see twelfth's face to know he was smirking. I could sense it.

I dropped to the floor as soon as I tried to get out of bed. "What the hell was in those painkillers?" I groaned.

"Just a little something to hurry your treatment," I heard a voice say. No way it was the kid, he's still sitting in the chair.

"Stay back!" I hissed at the man as he walked closer to me. I quickly flipped open my phone, gasping in shock. "Why aren't there any diary entries!" I growled aloud. "This doesn't make any sense!"

"I'm going to count down from three," the man said, ignoring my comments, "at which, well, you'll be wide awake. Good night."

"Sorry about this," the kid whined in a sorry tone.

"Three...two...one," the man counted down before snapping his fingers. Suddenly, my diary wasn't my diary. Instead, it was just a piece of wood. "And presto," the man said. Suddenly, I was laying on my back with an oddly dressed man looking down at me. His voice was energetic and his appearance reminded me of a power ranger. "Now that you're wide awake, tell me everything you know about the other diary users." With his fingers, he pulled open the eyelids to my blind eye. "I'd like you to begin, predictively enough," he began, placing his gloved fingers on my blind eye, "with first true identity." Suddenly, he ripped my blind eye out, and a scream went along with it.
