(Y/n) P.O.V.
I calmly sit in a corner of sixth's, Tsubaki Kasugano, chamber. She glances at me for a minute before looking down at her scroll, her diary. She looks at her scroll, a serious look on her face.
"Thank you for helping us catch night," she hums.
"It's no problem," I respond. A young girl with long hair suddenly runs into the room.
"There are some people requesting permission to enter Miss," she says.
"Let them in," sixth hums. The girl bows before turning around to run out. As soon the girl is gone, sixth begins to laugh. "This'll be so much fun!" We sit in almost completely silence, waiting for them to come. "Yukiteru Amano, first among the diary keepers, evader of no fewer than two dead ends, and none too hard on the eyes," she hums, telling me this information as if I didn't know about it. Well, that's what she thinks. Suddenly, sixth gasps. "His companion is a fifth wheel." Okay? Whatever that means. I pull out my diary, huffing to see nothing has changed.
"Nothing at all?" I whisper, far too quiet for sixth to hear.
Nothing you're not aware of. Fourth, second, and first are here.
I sneakily put my phone away. Mere seconds after putting my phone away, I catch sight of Yuki. I almost jumped up in glee. I have to keep my excitement in check. There's no way I can reveal the real reason I'm here. Yuki, second, and fourth walk into the room, sitting at the edge of sixth's sight.
"It's an honor to make your acquaintance," sixths starts. "I am Lady Omekata, also known as Tsubaki Kasugano. I do hope you will enjoy your stay here." Sixth pauses for a minute before continuing, changing her tone slightly. "I would have a closer look at your face if I could, Yukiteru."
"You're..." Yuki began, obviously trailing off. I watch the scene unfold before me from a dark corner of the chamber. No need for him to see me yet. There's the slight chance that it wouldn't hold the same dramatic effect I'd love to achieve.
"Quite," sixth states, knowing exactly what Yuki was going to say. "I have been burdened with poor vision from childhood. Thus, I spend the greater portion of my life holding court from this most humble of cells. One of the few consolation afforded to me is to write the many visitors I received from far-flung corners of the globe." She takes a pause to unravel her scroll slightly. "Not a month ago, however, my record of such people began to offer details of events yet to come. Thus, I have taken to calling it the Clairvoyant diary. Upon it are written the observations of those around me." Fourth grumbles a slightly quiet no, suddenly realizing coming to this occult might not have been a good idea. "This is my diary," sixth says, loud and proud. "I am designated sixth among you."
"No!" Yuki mumbles in fear. "It can't be!"
"Detective," sixth hums. "It seems you've prepared a raid as a preliminary precaution. How very sharp of you." Sixth speaks her words with a teasing tone, almost as if blatantly laughing at him. He doesn't seem to know that she's not going to hurt him. Sixth needs them anyways.
Like the frightened child he's always been, Yuki jumps and hides behind fourth, whimpering loudly. Sixth releases a small giggle in response. I find myself having to control my own laughter. "Please forgive my laughter," sixth says despite giggling, "it's just your reputation precedes you and yet you lay prostrate before me like a trained dog. I assure you, you have nothing to fear from me. I have no desire to succeed as God. The woman called night is being kept below. You have my blessings to do with her as you will."
"No," fourth huffs in disbelief. "This is far too easy." I smirk in the corner, knowing he's right.
"I am not one to meddle in secular matters," sixth explains before lifting up her scroll, showing the telltale sign of a Dead End. "My thought is bent on more eternal concerns. You though," sixth gestures to Yuki, "in the course of this shameful game, you have already foiled two dead ends," sixth states in a serious tone, finally getting to what she wanted and needed. "I propose an exchange of sorts. I shall give you Ūryu Minene on condition that Yukiteru stays here and protects me."
