The Mortal Instruments: everything is not what it seems

chapter 2

clary finally got to her room and just jumped it to bed, closed her eyes and thought about her life, Jonathan and everything else. Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard a knock on her door. She just layed there for a few more seconds. She wanted to stay there forever but she couldn't cause she heard another knock at her door. she signed and pushed herself off the bed and made her way to the door. when she opened the door to her surprise she found Jonathan looking down the hall.

" ummmm are you going to tell me why your here?"

Jonathan's head snapped around to look at her and said " can I come in?".

Clary moved to the side so her brother cam come in. when he got through the door she closed it behind him. she made her way back to the bed and layed down with her feet hanging off the end. while he just stood there. no one talking they were in total silence but the Jonathan broke it.

" clary we need to talk"

" About"

" you know what its about"

" no I have no idea"

"yes you do"

This time clary sat up to look at him and nothing.

" clary come on"

"what are you talking about?"

" clary you know you can talk to me right"

sh nodded and spat " I know I can I'm just not in the mood to right now ok"

He sat next to her on the bed looked her in the eye and told her how he feels.

" clary I know what your feeling. I feel the same way to love someone and there's nothing you can do about it"

clary averted her eyes way from his cause she could feel tears rushing to her eyes. she felt like she was about to explode so she took a deep breath and spoke still not looking at him " I have no idea what you mean".

" yes you do clary". He got on the floor in front of her and used his right hand to cup her cheek. She don't know why but she leand into the warmth of his hand. A tear fell down her face he wiped it away with his thumb. But it didn't help cause once that tear fell it opened the flood gates.
